Roller Coaster Bed
The New Decor’ is an art exhibition currently on at the Hayward Gallery in London. The exhibit features 30 artists and is designed to explore “the evolution of interior and exterior environments.” The artists have essentially created provocative installations from everyday household furniture or items.
I particularly love the roller coaster-resembling bed by Los Carpinteros. It looks like it would be such a blast to have a slumber party on, or even just to roll around in for a while. The New Decor looks like a fascinating exhibition.

Water Painting
Water Painting Fountain in Canal City, Hakata, Japan aka creation of images with water. Impressive minds from Japan came with an idea of building a water fountain that would be programmed to squirt water in such sequence so as to “paint” shapes with water. The idea became reality and the water painting fountain can be seen in a shopping mall of a Canal City in Hakata, Japan.
Canal City Hakata was built around an artificial canal and the shopping complex houses several impressive fountains but water painting one takes the cake hands down.
The technology behind the water painting fountain is similar to that of an inkjet printer. Hundreds of nozzles are controlled by microchips to deliver precise streams of water at right times. The results are impressive – water painted images and words.
One of the most impressive videos I’ve seen in a while. I really want to go to Japan

Tokujin Yoshioka Snow and Sensing Nature
Tokujin Yoshioka Snow and Sensing Nature Exhibition Hundreds of pounds of feathers, rising, swirling and settling in a 50-feet installation — Tokujin Yoshioka "snow" aims to evoke the Snowscapes of our memories. I hope it's really cold inside.
It's part of three-artist exhibition, "Sensing Nature," which invites you to observe aspects of the natural world from an entirely new perspective. The artists take on a myriad of natural subjects: forests, light, snow, and wind, illustrating how nature can incorporate and involve all forms of life.

Just to give you an idea of the prices. The 5 course set meal here will set you back about US$200 per person and that excludes any wine (US$100+ per bottle).
Also adding, though not as enjoyable, is the cold air temperature. As the name (which translates to oyster) suggests, the dishes here are mainly seafood, though there is fusion with other meats and Asian flavours. The surroundings make you feel as if your food was plucked freshly out of the ocean. This one to the left is a strange one: the bomb-dropping worm (Swima bombiviridis) that "has these green gills it can kind of throw off, and the predator will follow the gill instead of following the [worm], so it is tripping up the predator."

Two Toned Lobster
An Extremely Rare Chequered Lobster has been plucked from the seabed in Yorkshire by stunned fisherman.
The crustacean - dubbed 'Harley Quin' for it's bizarre red and black chequered appearance - is being analysed by marine experts who claim it is a rarity of 50million-to-one.
The lobster was found about 10 miles from Bridlington, East Yorks, by a fishermen, who passed it onto the Scarborough Sea Life Centre in North Yorks.
Centre spokesman Todd German said: 'There have been unusual coloured lobsters found in the past but he is remarkable because he has two colours separated by a near perfect straight line along the back of his carapace.'
'Blue, red and yellow individuals have all been found, but this one is the strangest anyone has ever heard of with one side black and the other side dull red - and that's before you mention his claws.'
The crustacean has one red and one black claw, leading to the Harley Quin nickname, after mythical harlequin character who wore a half red, half black suit.
Mr German said: 'Half and half lobster means one side will be one colour and the other side will be another but in this case you have bits of both colours on each side.
'The normal odds are 50 million-to-one but I couldn't tell you what the odds would be of finding one like Harley Quin.
'When Harley Quin came to stay with us we contacted the National Lobster Hatchery in Cornwall and they said they had never seen one like ours.
Marine experts believe the lobster is about five or six years old.
Michaela Bowness, from the Scarborough Sea Life Centre, said Harley Quin could reach more than three times his current size and live for another sixty or seventy years now that he is safe from predators.
The crustacean is being kept in a display tank at the centre's Weird and Wonderful exhibition.

World's Largest Smelliest Plant Blooms
World's largest, smelliest plant blooms in Houston, Lois the corpse flower, came in bloom Saturday in the U.S. fourth largest city, attracting thousands of curious Houstonians a day.
Now nearly six feet (1.8288 meters) tall, the flower, technically known as the Amorphophallus titanium plant, was the second corpse flower that ever bloomed in Texas and the 29th corpse flower that did so in the United States, said the Houston Museum of Nature Science, owner of the plant.
The flower, nicknamed Lois after a staffer's mother, has been in the museum for six years, since the museum paid 75 dollars for a tuber from a U.S. nursery, said Nancy Greig, director of Cockrell Butterfly Center of the Museum.
The plant is so special because it's totally unpredictable, said Greig. No one knows what triggers a corpse flower to bloom and no one knows when it will bloom in its about forty years of lifetime, she said.
The museum had predicited that Lois would bloom two weeks ago.
The line to see the flower was out the door Friday morning, once word got out that it would bloom soon.
The flower gives off smell like decomposed animals to attract insects, Greig said. It can be in bloom for a few days, but may not bloom for years --if ever.
Corpse flowers, with the largest unbranched inflorescence and one of the endangered species in the world, are native to Indonisia's Sumatra and can grow to be 10 feet (3.048 meters) tall. The tallest corpse flower was recorded in Germany.
