Hilarious Building of Bad Design | Bad Construction Designs

Hilarious Building of Bad Design | Bad Construction Designs

Not everyone is born with the magic touch for remodeling. This, of course, is why a whole range of specialists exist: architects, designers, contractors, the guy who makes the cabinets and the guy who installs them (nope, his name isn’t Dad). As with most industries, though, some skilled professionals are less skilled than others.

Take any one of the masterminds behind the following home improvement snafus, which range from head-scratching and unsightly to downright dangerous. The optimists among us might describe these creations as “complex,” perhaps “experimental.” But what exactly was the hypothesis? That no one would notice the flagpole in the middle of the driveway? That a toilet in the dining room might be the future of home convenience?

People Took Posing With Statues To The Next Level

People Took Posing With Statues To The Next Level

We have all heard about people taking down statues as a part of protests and riots that have been happening recently. Meanwhile the statues around the world have apparently started to fight back…

Let’s face it–posing with statues is fun. You’ve got a captive audience, and you can pretty much do anything you want to them as long as you keep most of your clothes on. But these people have a twisted audacity and imagination that goes beyond holding up the Leaning Tower of Pisa, which your cousin Stephanie still thinks is hilarious. We get it Tiffany, you’ve been to Italy! Let it go already! Witness then what true genius looks like as these lunatics pose with these poor, unsuspecting works of art.

Aqueduct Veluwemeer | Unique Water Bridge in Netherland

Aqueduct Veluwemeer | Unique Water Bridge in Netherland

The Veluwemeer (Dutch) or Lake Veluwe is a bordering lake in the Netherlands, between the provinces of Flevoland on the west side and Gelderland on the east side. It is a narrow lake that stretches from south-west to north-east. South of Harderwijk, the lake becomes het Wolderwijd and North of Elburg het Drontermeer.

The name of the lake comes from the Veluwe region in Gelderland of which the lake is on the western boundary. The lake is not natural and is one of several lakes known as the Randmeren formed in 1957 when the Flevopolder was created. It has a surface area of over 30 square kilometers and is fairly shallow with an average depth of 1.55 m. It is popular amongst tourists during the summer for recreation on the water or beach.

Giethoorn Village in Netherlands | Fairytale Village

Giethoorn Village in Netherlands | Fairytale Village also dubbed "Venice of the North"

Giethoorn is a mostly car-free village in the northeastern Dutch province of Overijssel. It’s known for its boat-filled waterways, footpaths, bicycle trails, and centuries-old thatched-roof houses. It borders a section of the Weerribben-Wieden National Park, a marshy area once popular for peat and reed harvesting. Next to the park, Museum Giethoorn ‘t Olde Maat Uus is a farm museum illustrating the region’s history.

If you ever wanted to live your own fairy-tale, you may want to consider moving to the village Giethoorn. Also known as “Venice of the Netherlands”, this magical village founded around 1230 is the kind most people could only dream of… It has no roads or any modern transportation at all, only canals. Well, and 176 bridges too. Tourists have to leave their cars outside of the village and travel here by foot or boat by (usually by “whisper boats”, which have noiseless engines). So you can probably imagine how peaceful it is here (well, when it isn’t flooded with tourists, of course)… Even the village’s website says that “the loudest sound you can normally hear is the quacking of a duck or the noise made by other birds”.
