Solar Panels Made From Waste Food - Sun Light Converts into Usable Energy

Carvey Ehren Maigue - Solar Panels Made From Waste Food | Sun Light Converts into Usable Energy from Mapua University in Manila, the Philippines

Florescent material made from rotting fruit and veg that harvests invisible UV light from the sun and converts it into usable energy wins James Dyson award. 27-Year-Old Student Creates Solar Panels Made From Food Waste That Can Produce Energy Even On Cloudy Days

A new florescent material made out of waste fruit and vegetables that harvests light and turns it into electricity has won the first ever 'sustainability' prize in the James Dyson Award 2020. The innovation, called Aureus, is made from up-cycled crop waste that can be attached to the sides of buildings to harvest invisible ultraviolet (UV) rays.

Aureus was invented by 27-year-old engineer Carvey Ehren Maigue from Mapua University in Manila, the Philippines. Maigue, who has won £30,000 to market the invention, made the material by extracting organic luminescent compounds from fruit and vegetables, like carrots. These compounds turn high energy UV light into visible light, while solar panels attached to the material then convert this visible light into electricity.

The young engineer was inspired by the fact that UV light still seeps through on dark gloomy days when there's not much sunlight that could potentially be harvested. Aureus could line the side of tower blocks to turn them into 'vertical solar energy farms' and power them for a fraction of the cost.

Hair Color for Women - New Trends Shade Hair Color Hairstyles

Hair Color for Women - New Trends Shade Hair Color Hairstyles | Hair Colorist Makes Clients - Shades of Blonde, Brunette, Red & Black

According to trichologist Madeleine Preston, most women who are in their 30s should see a few grey hairs here and there, but by the time they get into their 50s, about half of their scalp hairs turn grey. Like wrinkles, silver flocks are part of aging. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with them.

Celebrity colorist Jack Martin is also a firm believer of that. For the past couple of years, he has been on a mission to prove that grey never goes out of style: Martin has developed a technique that allows his clients to gradually ditch the dye. He also posts before-and-after pictures of these empowering transformations to show they look badass. Continue scrolling to check out the latest makeovers, and fire up Bored Panda's previous article if you missed the earlier ones.

As Martin explained on his Instagram account, the process starts with using a color extractor to remove any remaining artificial color. While preserving the gray roots, he then bleaches the rest of the hair to prep it for the new color.

Most Perfectly Timed Photos Ever - Unique Perfect Timing Photos. Similar to Greek photographer Anthimos Ntagkas, Edas Wong likes to play in the streets with a camera. Only, Wong primarily does it on the other side of the world — Hong Kong.

His playful shots cleverly utilize both the foreground and background. In many cases, it's even hard to tell which of them is the cornerstone of the image; whether it's a man in front of a poster that gives him a Goku haircut or someone walking with shoes that look just like the fish painted on the ground, the dance between the two is often what makes the image.

Wong started dabbling in street photography in 2012. "The reason why I chose this particular type of photography as opposed to any other is quite simple, actually," he told Bored Panda. "I didn't need to learn an advanced technique or have expensive gear; just my small camera. Ideal for a beginner."

Street Vandalism - Beautiful Street Drawing Artwork Vandalism

Street Vandalism - Beautiful Street Drawing Artwork Vandalism | Famous Street Art | Street Arts Graffiti | Famous Street Artists

Street Vandalism is the action involving deliberate destruction of or damage to public or private property. The term includes property damage, such as graffiti and defacement directed towards any property without permission of the owner. The term finds its roots in an Enlightenment view that the Germanic Vandals were a uniquely destructive people.

French artist Cal is a vandal. Only their mischiefs aren't rude or destructive. Rather, smart, creative, and joyful. But most notably, inclusive. The Lyon-based street artist sprinkles their works in urban places, leaving them interacting with their surroundings. Think painted fish "escaping" a drain pipe or a red and white traffic sign "becoming" Waldo.

"I would say my art is light-hearted," Cal told. "I play with what surrounds me. I love distracting things from their original purpose." Naturally, in order to spot so many opportunities where others don't, one really needs to keep their eyes open. "I walk a lot, I see loads of things," Cal said. "I love observing, looking at details. I often notice that a specific stone, piece of pavement, tree, brick looks like something."

Eyelids Art of Makeup - Beautiful Eye Makeup Looks Gorgeous

Eyelids Art of Makeup - Beautiful Eye Makeup Looks Gorgeous | Artist Creates Miniature Works Of Art On Her Eyelids | Artist Transforms Her Eyelids into Paintings Inspired by Movies, Musicals, and Books

An eyelid is a thin fold of skin that covers and protects an eye. The levator palpebrae superioris muscle retracts the eyelid, exposing the cornea to the outside, giving vision. This can be either voluntarily or involuntarily. The human eyelid features a row of eyelashes along the eyelid margin, which serve to heighten the protection of the eye from dust and foreign debris, as well as from perspiration. "Palpebral" (and "blepharal") means relating to the eyelids. Its key function is to regularly spread the tears and other secretions on the eye surface to keep it moist, since the cornea must be continuously moist. They keep the eyes from drying out when asleep. Moreover, the blink reflex protects the eye from foreign bodies.

The appearance of the human upper eyelid often varies between different populations. The prevalence of an epicanthic fold covering the inner corner of the eye account for the majority of East Asian and Southeast Asian populations, and is also found in varying degrees among other populations. Separately, but also similarly varying between populations, the crease of the remainder of the eyelid may form either a "single eyelid", a "double eyelid", or an intermediate form.

Tal Peleg is an amazing makeup artist that can turn eyelids into works of magical art. The pictures she creates are very tiny, but full of detail and colors. Her art often features pop culture references from movies, TV shows, or scenes from fairy tales. Tal mentioned she finds inspiration anywhere, from animals and nature to social issues and mental health. Tal told: "I always loved art and makeup, so painting on the eye was my way of mixing these passions. I use the eyelid as a canvas to tell a story and to inspire people. I started many years ago by painting animals and fairy tales on the eyes, and over time, my eye art has become more and more detailed and challenging."

Mum Using A Condom - Mother Makes Her Own Quarantined Elf

Mum Using A Condom - Mother Makes Her Own 'Quarantined' Elf With Condom | Mum Makes Her Own 'Quarantined' Elf On The Shelf Using A Condom

A CREATIVE mum who refused to fork out £16 for a ‘quarantined’ Elf on the Shelf in a balloon for her daughter decided to recreate it herself - using a CONDOM. Sapphire Grimes-Williams loved the idea of letting her daughter Alayla Kelly pop a balloon with the toy elf inside after a two-week quarantine period, but was horrified at the price.

After trying to recreate it herself with a balloon and finding the elf’s head simply got stuck, the 24-year-old tried instead with a fresh condom and was thrilled when the full toy slipped easily inside. The mum had considered buying larger balloons online but claims the delivery date would have been too late, leaving her with no option but to use the contraception instead.

The condom stretched into an enormous balloon with the elf safely contained inside - although Sapphire admits the latex was ‘slimy’ and she had to give it a good wash. Photos show the condom looking unrecognisable blown into a large dome shape and decorated with sequins, smaller balloons and bows - with Sapphire writing ‘warning, isolating’ in big red letters on the side.

Avocado Beer - Grassy Knoll Brewing Beer Made From Avocado

Avocado Beer - Grassy Knoll Brewing Beer Made From Avocado

Given Aussie millennials love of beer and avocados, perhaps it was only a matter of time before the two were combined. Australian Avocados have partnered with NSW east coast brewery Grassy Knoll for the year's most unconventional hybrid — the avocado beer. The Aussie Avo Ale has dropped in time for summer, promising a creamy, tropical taste and available online and in selected retailers from today.

The craft beer company have created a limited-edition batch, featuring a full-bodied cream ale brewed with fresh Australian Avocados and dry hops for a "tropical pillowy experience", according to the brand. Grassy Knoll's founder Jess Argent initially didn't think they'd be able to pull off the interesting combination.

"When Australian Avocados called me at first I was like, nah, you can't do this. Like, that's not possible. So I did my research and [thought] actually this probably could be a fun beer to brew," he says. The avocados add a fresh and unique flavour profile to the beer, according to Argent, who also hinted it may not be the last time they use avocados in this way.

We all love coupons and vouchers, but can you imagine living on them almost exclusively for almost four decades? A Japanese man claims to have been doing it for the last 36 years, adding that he hasn’t spent a yen of his own money during that time.

71-year-old Hiroto Kiritani is a minor celebrity in his home country of Japan. His ability to live comfortably on coupons without spending any money unless he really has to is legendary, and he has been invited on numerous television shows and events over the years. Kiritani says that he gets by without spending real money except for utilities and rent. But he’s not as frugal as you might think. He just manages to live comfortably on the coupons he receives from companies he invested in over the years.

Kiritani, who used to be a professional shogi (Japanese Chess), got into stock investment when he was 35. He was invited to teach the staff of an investment company called Tokyo Securities Kyowakai about shogi, and was fascinated by the idea of owning parts of various companies. He bought his first stock in 1984 and quickly developed a taste for it, encouraged by the stock bubble of the 1980s.

Mila Povoroznyuk - Young Girl Daily Dresses Like 19th Century | woman Dressed Like 19th Century | Living a 19th Century Lifestyle | Daily Life in the 19th century | Victorian fashion 19th-Century Fashion Style

Mila Povoroznyuk, a young girl from the Ukrainian city of Vinnitsa, has shunned jeans, and all other modern clothing for the long dresses and intricate ensembles of The 19th (nineteenth) century began on January 1, 1801, and ended on December 31, 1900. It was the ninth century of the 2nd millennium.

Nowadays, fashion trends change faster than ever before, but instead of trying to keep up, Mila Povoroznyuk decided to go back to a time that will never go out of fashion – the style of the late 19th century. For the past few years, she has replaced her fairly mundane wardrobe with vintage attires, including long dresses, corsets, all sorts of elegant hats and footwear from the late Victorian Era. Even though getting dressed every morning is much more of a hassle than it used to be, Mila says it’s worth it, as the vintage style makes her feel much more comfortable.

“First I started wearing a vintage blouse, then a skirt, and somehow such vintage clothing items gradually started filling up my closet,” Mila Povoroznyuk told Russian newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda. “And I noticed that I increasingly chose them in everyday life, over my regular wardrobe. I felt more comfortable, more confident in such clothes, and now I practically dress like this every day.”

Birth Photos - Woman Giving Birth to New Born Baby That Capture Pure Love

Birth Photos - Woman Giving Birth to New Born Baby That Capture Pure Love | Birth Photos Capture The Raw And Powerful Mother Side Of It | The Magic of Birth Photography | Pregnant & Delivery Photo Inspiration ideas | Woman Giving birth at home

New Born Baby Or Childbirth, also known as labour and delivery, is the ending of pregnancy where one or more babies leaves the uterus by passing through the vagina or by Caesarean section. In 2015, there were about 135 million births globally. About 15 million were born before 37 weeks of gestation, while between 3 and 12 percent were born after 42 weeks. In the developed world most deliveries occur in hospitals, while in the developing world most births take place at home with the support of a traditional birth attendant

The most common way of childbirth is a vaginal delivery. It involves three stages of labour: the shortening and opening of the cervix during the first stage, descent and birth of the baby during the second stage, and the delivery of the placenta during the third stage. The first stage begins with crampy abdominal or back pain that lasts around half a minute and occurs every 10 to 30 minutes. The pain becomes stronger and closer together over time. The second stage ends when the infant is fully expelled. In the third stage, the delivery of the placenta, delayed clamping of the umbilical cord is generally recommended.[ As of 2014, all major health organizations advise that immediately following vaginal birth, or as soon as the mother is alert and responsive after a Caesarean section, that the infant be placed on the mother's chest, termed skin-to-skin contact, delaying routine procedures for at least one to two hours or until the baby has had its first breastfeeding.

For brides who want a dramatic, luminous style that looks like it's straight out of the movies, makeup artist Arber Bytyqi has them covered.

He recommends that brides bring photos of makeup looks that they like and show them to whoever is doing their makeup. "Make sure to have a bridal trial before the wedding, style your hair and wear your jewelry so you can see how the total look will come together on the day," he said.

A handbag, commonly known as a Purses & Clutches in North American English, is a handled medium-to-large bags used to carry personal items. The term "purse" originally referred to a small bag for holding coins. In many English-speaking countries it is still used to refer to a small money bag. A "handbag" is a larger accessory that holds objects beyond currency, such as personal items.

American English typically uses the terms purse and handbag interchangeably. The term handbag began appearing in the early 1900s. Initially, it was most often used to refer to men's hand-luggage. Women's bags grew larger and more complex during this period, and the term was attached to the accessory. "Pocketbook" is another term for a woman's hand bag that was most commonly used on the East Coast of the United States in the mid-twentieth century.

Early modern Europeans wore purses for one sole purpose: to carry coins. Purses were made of soft fabric or leather and were worn by men as often as ladies; the Scottish sporran is a survival of this custom. In the 17th century, young girls were taught embroidery as a necessary skill for marriage; this also helped them make very beautiful handbags

Shipping Container House - Incredible Container Homes Designs

Shipping Container House - Amazing Container Homes Designs | Incredible Shipping Container Houses Around the World | Builds Low-Cost Sustainable Home | Building a Shipping Container Home | Shipping Container Homes You Must See

Containers are in many ways an ideal building material because they are strong, durable, stackable, cuttable, movable, modular, plentiful and relatively cheap. Architects as well as laypeople have used them to build many types of buildings such as homes, offices, apartments, schools, dormitories, artists' studios and emergency shelters; they have also been used as swimming pools. They are also used to provide temporary secure spaces on construction sites and other venues on an "as is" basis instead of building shelters.

The abundance and relative cheapness of these containers during the last decade comes from the deficit in manufactured goods coming from North America in the last two decades. These manufactured goods come to North America from Asia and, to a lesser extent, Europe, in containers that often have to be shipped back empty, or "deadhead", at considerable expense. It is often cheaper to buy new containers in Asia than to ship old ones back. Therefore, new applications are sought for the used containers that have reached their North American destination.

For each person, the definition of a dream house is different. While some are more fond of traditional dwellings, others are looking for new and innovative ways to build their perfect home. While building a house out of shipping containers is not exactly new, some people still manage to surprise us with their skills and ability to transform ugly metal boxes into cozy homes.

Most Creative Pie Crust Designs - Decorative Pie Baked Dish

Most Creative Pie Crust Designs - Decorative Pie Baked Dish

A pie is a baked dish which is usually made of a pastry dough casing that contains a filling of various sweet or savoury ingredients. Sweet pies may be filled with fruit (as in an apple pie), nuts (pecan pie), brown sugar (sugar pie) or sweetened vegetables (rhubarb pie). Savoury pies may be filled with meat (as in a steak pie or a Jamaican patty), eggs and cheese (quiche) or a mixture of meat and vegetables (pot pie).

Pies are defined by their crusts. A filled pie (also single-crust or bottom-crust), has pastry lining the baking dish, and the filling is placed on top of the pastry but left open. A top-crust pie has the filling in the bottom of the dish and is covered with a pastry or other covering before baking. A two-crust pie has the filling completely enclosed in the pastry shell. Shortcrust pastry is a typical kind of pastry used for pie crusts, but many things can be used, including baking powder biscuits, mashed potatoes, and crumbs.

Pies can be a variety of sizes, ranging from bite-size to ones designed for multiple servings.

A bizarre turtle that is bright yellow has been spotted in a village pond in West Bengal, India. The rare animal is afflicted with a form of albinism which affects its colouration and has been compared online to melted cheese on a burger. It belongs to a rare species called the Indian flap shell turtle.

Sneha Dharwadka posted images of the turtle on Twitter and suggested two potential explanations for its bizarre colouration. It's an albino kind whose peculiar yellow colour is may be bcoz of either some genetic mutation or congenital disorder due to absence of tyrosine pigment,' he says. The Indian flap shell turtle, which is normally green, is typically found in South Asia and is between 9 to 14 inches long.

In August, a similar animal of the same species was discovered in Nepal. At the time it was compared to a mythological incarnation of the Hindu deity Vishnu. Vietnam War - Second Indochina War Photos | History of Vietnam

Vietnam War - Second Indochina War Photos | History of Vietnam | Between 1960-1975

The Vietnam War (Vietnamese: Chiến tranh Việt Nam), also known as the Second Indochina War, and in Vietnam as the Resistance War Against America (Vietnamese: Kháng chiến chống Mỹ) or simply the American War, was a conflict in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia from 1 November 1955 to the fall of Saigon on 30 April 1975. It was the second of the Indochina Wars and was officially fought between North Vietnam and South Vietnam.

North Vietnam was supported by the Soviet Union, China, and other communist allies; South Vietnam was supported by the United States, South Korea, the Philippines, Australia, Thailand, and other anti-communist allies. The war, considered a Cold War-era proxy war by some, lasted 19 years, with direct U.S. involvement ending in 1973, and included the Laotian Civil War and the Cambodian Civil War, which ended with all three countries becoming communist in 1975.

The conflict emerged from the First Indochina War against the communist-led Viet Minh. Most of the funding for the French war effort was provided by the U.S. After the French quit Indochina in 1954, the US assumed financial and military support for the South Vietnamese state. The Việt Cộng, also known as Front national de libération du Sud-Viêt Nam or NLF (the National Liberation Front), a South Vietnamese common front under the direction of North Vietnam, initiated a guerrilla war in the south.

Rebecca Giddins - Eating Only Chicken Nuggets And Chips For 15 Yrs

Rebecca Giddins - Eating Only Chicken Nuggets And Chips For Everyday | Teenager Who Only Ate Chicken Nuggets And Chips For 15 Years | She has now Tried Eating Fruit and Veg, Sausage and even Cheese for First Time

A teenager who has survived on a diet of just chicken nuggets and chips for the last 15 years has finally expanded her palate after seeing a hypnotist. Rebecca Giddins, who has only just started using a knife and fork at the age of 19, has lived off the meal since she was four years old. But she prefers Birds Eye nuggets and, in 15 years, has scoffed more than 87,000 of them.

Rebecca said: 'For as long as I can remember, I have gagged at the sight of other food - I couldn't even pick it up or pass it to people.' When Rebecca, of Kettering, Northants., was a toddler she lived off Milky Ways, yoghurt and cake before she became hooked on chicken bites. Her parents did not take her to see a doctor, as they believed her extremely picky eating was something she would grow out of, but as she got older they realised they needed to try something different.

The gymnastic coach has now eaten fruit and veg, sausage and even cheese, for the first time - after seeing a hypnotist. She added: 'I was sceptical about hypnosis but so far, it seems to have helped. Since going to my first session last Monday, I have been able to try at least two new foods every day and my goal is to be able to eat a roast dinner. 'The gagging has totally stopped since going which was one of the main reasons I was unable to eat food in the first place.

Nathan Hrushkin - Boy Finds 69 Million Year Old Dinosaur Fossil

Nathan Hrushkin - Boy Finds 69 Million Year Old Dinosaur Fossil | Boy, 12, Discovers Rare Dinosaur Skeleton

A 12-year-old boy made the discovery of his lifetime when he found a dinosaur skeleton dating back 69 million years. The amateur palaeontologist was out hiking with his father in a fossil-rich part of Alberta, Canada this July, when he saw bones protruding from a rock. On Thursday, the skeleton's excavation was completed.

The boy, Nathan Hrushkin, says when he first laid eyes on the bones, he was "literally speechless". "I wasn't even excited, even though I know I should have [been]," he tells the BBC. "I was in so much shock that I had actually found a dinosaur discovery." Nathan, who has been interested in dinosaurs since he was six, often goes hiking in the Nature Conservancy of Canada's protected site in the Albertan Badlands with his father.

"I've always just been so fascinated with how their bones go from bones like ours, to solid rock." A year ago, they had found small fragments of fossils, and his father guessed that they were falling down from the rock above. So this summer Nathan decided to inspect. The fossilised bones were poking out of the side of a hill. "Dad, you got to get up here!" he called to his father.

His father knew Nathan had found something by the tone of his voice. They looked like bones made of stone - you could not mistake them for anything else," his father, Dion Hrushkin, said. "It looked like the end of a femur - it had that classic bone look to it - sticking straight out of the ground."

Paper Cutouts - Creative Paper Cutting Turn into Arts Designs

Paper Cutouts - Creative Paper Cutting Turn into Arts Designs | Artist Creates Intricate Cut-Outs From Single Sheet of Paper | Simple Paper Cutting Art And Craft Ideas For Kids | 3D Paper Art, Paper Cut Illustrators

Papercutting or paper cutting is the art of paper designs. The art has evolved uniquely all over the world to adapt to different cultural styles. One traditional distinction most styles share in common is that the designs are cut from a single sheet of paper as opposed to multiple adjoining sheets as in collage.

Paper cut art appeared during the Han dynasty in 4th century AD after the Chinese official, Cai Lun invented paper in 105 AD. The oldest surviving paper cut out is a symmetrical circle from the 6th century Six Dynasties period found in Xinjiang China. Papercutting continued to be practiced during the Song and Tang Dynasties as a popular form of decorative art.

By the eighth or ninth century papercutting appeared in West Asia and in Turkey in the 16th century. The knowledge of Paper making did not reach Europe until the 13th century so papercutting could only have arrived after that. In Switzerland and Germany for example it was not until the 16th century that papercut art or scherenschnitte was established (see also silhouette).

Most Unique And Creative Coffee Mugs Designs - Cups & Mugs

Most Unique And Creative Coffee Mugs Designs - Cups And Mugs | Cool And Unique Coffee Mugs You Can Buy Right Now | Stylish Coffee & Tea Mugs

A mug is a type of cup typically used for drinking hot drinks, such as coffee, hot chocolate, or tea. Mugs usually have handles and hold a larger amount of fluid than other types of cup. Typically, a mug holds approximately 8–12 US fluid ounces (240–350 ml) of liquid. A mug is a less formal style of drink container and is not usually used in formal place settings, where a teacup or coffee cup is preferred. Shaving mugs are used to assist in wet shaving.

Ancient mugs were usually carved in wood or bone, ceramic or shaped of clay, while most modern ones are made of ceramic materials such as bone china, earthenware, porcelain, or stoneware. Some are made from strengthened glass, such as Pyrex. Other materials, including enameled metal, plastic, or steel are preferred, when reduced weight or resistance to breakage is at a premium, such as for camping. A travel mug is insulated and has a cover with a small sipping opening to prevent spills. Techniques such as silk screen printing or decals are used to apply decorations such as logos or images and fan art, which are fired onto the mug to ensure permanence.

Marcos Beccari Artist Drawing - Watercolor Artworks Paintings

Marcos Beccari Artist Drawing - Watercolor Artworks Paintings | Watercolor Techniques & Painting Tutorials

Watercolor or watercolour, also aquarelle, is a painting method in which the paints are made of pigments suspended in a water-based solution. Watercolor refers to both the medium and the resulting artwork

Marcos Beccari doesn't shy away from a challenge. Instead, he runs toward it. And that's why the Brazilian artist has gotten so good. Currently, Beccari works as an adjunct professor at the Federal University of Paraná, giving lectures on design and graphic design. In his spare time, he also does watercolor paintings.

If you were to scroll through his portfolio, you'd see that Beccari focuses a lot on water. So much so, that in some of his works, it becomes the central subject, pushing people into the background. That is because the artist thought portraying water was his weakness and wanted to eradicate it. I think we can safely say that he succeeded and now it has become his strength.

Bioluminescence Beach - Magical Glowing Blue Waves In Ocean

Bioluminescence Beach - Magical Glowing Blue Waves In Ocean | Glowing Beaches And Bioluminescent Bays In The World | Beaches That Glow at Night | Eye-Catching Electric Blue Waves

Bioluminescence Beach is the production and emission of light by a living micro-organism Or bacteria. It is a form of chemiluminescence. Bioluminescence occurs widely in marine vertebrates and invertebrates, as well as in some fungi, microorganisms including some bioluminescent bacteria, and terrestrial arthropods such as fireflies. In some animals, the light is bacteriogenic, produced by symbiotic bacteria such as those from the genus Vibrio; in others, it is autogenic, produced by the animals themselves.

Bioluminescence occurs widely among animals, especially in the open sea, including fish, jellyfish, comb jellies, crustaceans, and cephalopod molluscs; in some fungi and bacteria; and in various terrestrial invertebrates including insects. About 76% of the main taxa of deep-sea animals produce light. Most marine light-emission is in the blue and green light spectrum. However, some loose-jawed fish emit red and infrared light, and the genus Tomopteris emits yellow light.

Man Eating Animal Food - James May Cooked And Ate Cat Foods

Man Eating Animal Foods - James May Cooked And Ate Cat Food

It's a question many of us have asked ourselves but for which few have dared to find the answer: what does cat food taste like? Well, after asking their readers whether it would be a good idea or not, the good folks over at FoodTribe got the former Top Gear presenter James May to find out.

And while most of us would, fairly understandably, never wish to eat pet food of any description, May faced the challenge head on. In the video posted to YouTube, the 57-year-old says: "Cat food is perfectly edible, it is suitable for human consumption, and, in fact, it has to be, because the tragedy is that some people, when they get really hard-up, eat it.

"It was recognised back in the 1970s, I think, that this was happening, so it became the law, as I understand it, that all pet food had to be fit for human consumption." The petrol head then set about turning two brands of cat food - a sachet of beef and poultry from home and a tin of chicken and cheese belonging to someone called Tom - into delicious pies, complete with Smash - powdered mash potato - and chillies to help mask the flavour.

Weird Food Presentation - Bizarre Food Restaurants Presentations

Weird Food Presentation - Bizarre Food Restaurants Presentations | Times When Food Restaurants Went A Little Too Far Over The Top | Crazy Food Presentations That Will Blow Your Mind

Presentation goes a long way when it comes to impressing the discerning diner, but sometimes creative flair can get out of hand. The efforts of restaurants to present their offerings in ever more unusual ways has been documented by the Twitter account WeWantPlates, and recently someone used Imgur to compile a selection of the most bizarre and hilarious examples.

One cook decided it would be a good idea to serve up baked beans in a Croc sandal, with the pulses peeking tantalisingly out of the holes. Others have served up meals in everything from a shovel to a wheelbarrow in an effort to impress. From a tiramisu in a flowerpot to a Lego bread basket and a dish served up in a mould of a jaw - complete with a gold tooth - these restaurateurs certainly get top marks for creativity, and will no doubt disappointed to learn their customers would prefer their dinner served on a humble plate.

Halloween Couple Costumes - Trending Couples Dresses of All Time

Halloween Couple Costumes - Trending Couples Dresses of All Time | Cute Couples That Absolutely Won Halloween | Unique Couples Costumes - Best Couples Halloween | Sexy Halloween Costumes For Couples

Halloween also known as Allhalloween is a celebration observed in many countries on 31 October, the eve of the Western Christian feast of All Hallows' Day. It begins the three-day observance of Allhallowtide, the time in the liturgical year dedicated to remembering the dead, including saints (hallows), martyrs, and all the faithful departed

Halloween activities include trick-or-treating (or the related guising and souling), attending Halloween costume parties, carving pumpkins into jack-o'-lanterns, lighting bonfires, apple bobbing, divination games, playing pranks, visiting haunted attractions, telling scary stories, as well as watching horror films. In many parts of the world, the Christian religious observances of All Hallows' Eve, including attending church services and lighting candles on the graves of the dead, remain popular, although elsewhere it is a more commercial and secular celebration. Some Christians historically abstained from meat on All Hallows' Eve, a tradition reflected in the eating of certain vegetarian foods on this vigil day, including apples, potato pancakes, and soul cakes.

Halloween costumes are traditionally modeled after supernatural figures such as vampires, monsters, ghosts, skeletons, witches, and devils. Over time, the costume selection extended to include popular characters from fiction, celebrities, and generic archetypes such as ninjas and princesses.

Modern Interior Design Style - Modern Home Furniture Designs

Modern Interior Design Style - Modern Home Furniture Designs

Your home is your castle. But your castle doesn’t have to have chilly corridors, flickering torches, crumbling walls, and chain-clanking ghosts. It can be comfortable and cozy. It can look great and inviting. It can look, well, like a home.

However, interior design isn’t something that everyone’s great at. Sometimes, we need a bit of help. A tad of inspiration. And a splash of scrolling through Instagram. That’s where the Call It Design IG page comes in.

It’s an account with nearly 55k followers and it features some truly incredible examples of modern design decisions from around the world. From interior design and architecture to artistic pieces of furniture and flair, it’s a real treasure trove for anyone who wants to liven up their home. We’ve collected some of the best design pics from them for you to enjoy.

What makes modern interior design look good depends on whom you ask. There’s a lot of artistic choices involved and we all know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. So what might look incredibly stylish and minimalistic to one person might look bleak and dreary to someone else. Nonetheless, beauty isn’t completely subjective and there are certain things that make contemporary design look good.

Doppelgänger - Complete Strangers Who Meet Look ALikes in real Life

Doppelgänger - Complete Strangers Who Met Their Doppelgängers And Had A Lot Of Questions | Who Meet Look ALikes in real Life | Look Alike Same | Facial Twin Or Face Double, Doppelgänger or Face Match.

A doppelgänger literally "double-walker" is a biologically unrelated look-alike, or a double, of a living person.

In fiction and mythology, a doppelgänger is often portrayed as a ghostly or paranormal phenomenon and usually seen as a harbinger of bad luck. Other traditions and stories equate a doppelgänger with an evil twin. In modern times, the term twin stranger is occasionally used. The word "doppelgänger" is often used in a more general and neutral sense, and in slang, to describe any person who physically resembles another person.

Throughout history, meeting a doppelganger could only mean bad luck and was considered as an evil omen by many folklore tales. A doppelganger was seen as a malevolent twin or even a paranormal entity. The science behind these twin strangers is also quite grim as heautoscopy or hallucinations of seeing your own body in the distance might be signs of schizophrenia and epilepsy, which explains why it was seen as a harbinger of bad luck in the olden days. Thankfully, today we use the term doppelganger in a more general and neutral way to describe a person who looks or acts the same way as we do.

We collected a list of people who experienced this bizarre lookalike phenomenon, and it looks like there's genuinely a glitch in the Matrix. Just think about it. You inherit the looks of your ancestors, and someone happens to look exactly like you and you happen to meet him accidentally. What are the odds? And though it is a quite an eerie experience, the chance for a fun picture is just too good.
