Makenna Myler, 28, has been dedicated to fitness for years, but she has really put all of us to shame by achieving the incredible feat. Not only did she get the incredible time in the midst of a pandemic, but also while almost full term with her unborn baby, which is due on 19 October.

To give a bit of context - a non-competitive fairly health runner would usually be able to complete a mile in around nine to ten minutes on average. New runners would probably come in at between 12 and 15 minutes. Elite marathon runners wuld do a mile in about four to five minutes.

Joe, who conceals his real name, has spent the majority of lockdown in Argentina after getting stuck there while donating his sperm - but the singleton is now in London and already set to meet five women this week.

Can anyone forget Dashrath Manjhi, the famous Mountain Man from Bihar's Gehlaur village, who carved a path through a ridge of hills using only a hammer and chisel? Now, very much like Manjhi, another man from Bihar has achieved another such incredulous feat. Laungi Bhuiyan from Gaya has worked alone for thirty consecutive years and dug out a three-kilometre-long canal to fight the poverty in his village.

According to sources, Bhuiyan's feat has filled the people of his native Kothilwa village, located on the border of Imamganj and Bankebazar block in Gaya, with pride. After his incredible work, Bhuiyan has found himself in the limelight and is being called the 'Second Dashrath Manjhi'. In the meanwhile, Mahindra Group chairman Anand Mahindra has decided to provided tractors to the man to help him in his mission.

Police in Japan's southernmost prefecture of Okinawa are puzzling over how to prevent people from sleeping on the road while intoxicated, with over 7,000 cases recorded in 2019 alone, some resulting in fatal accidents

Okinawa Prefectural Police are likely the only force in Japan that keeps statics on the phenomenon, called "rojo-ne" in Japanese, which literally translates as "sleeping on the road." As to why people do it, whether it's the warm climate or the residents' easy-going manner, police aren't sure.

A former Royal Navy sailor who has lived in the same house since 1948 has claimed he has saved thousands by leaving his decor untouched. Doug Bethel, 89, from Liverpool, Merseyside, still lives in the house he grew up in with his parents and six siblings after they bought the five-bedroom semi-detached terraced house 72 years ago for just £800. After leaving the Royal Navy, the retired gas engineer, who never started a family of his own as he was often away at sea, returned to live with his mother and father until their deaths in 1976 and 1988.

Determined to keep as many happy memories in the house as he could, Mr. Bethel has not altered anything in the house for more than 60 years and still has his childhood bedroom intact, the original kitchen and cooker, and used only coal fires to heat the property until last year.

Nicoterra told Pendrak that he wanted to view the rare comet NEOWISE before it disappeared on Thursday. During the viewing, Nicoterra got on one knee and proposed, and a friend of the couple snapped a picture of the special moment, with NEOWISE on full display.

The photo, which has been shared thousands of times on social media, shows the comet between the happy couple. Nicoterra says it even caught the attention of NASA and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk. Scientists say catching a glimpse of NEOWISE is a once-in-a-lifetime event. Once it disappears, it won’t visible on Earth for another 6,800 years.

The story of a devoted son who scaled a high wall and sat by his mother's window to bid her farewell is breaking hearts on social media. According to news website Al Nas, Jihad Al-Suwaiti, a young Palestinian from the town of Beit Awa in the West Bank, said goodbye to his mother by climbing up to the window of the Intensive Care Unit of Hebron State Hospital where she was bring treated for COVID-19. Patients infected by the highly infectious novel coronavirus are kept in isolation to prevent risk of spreading infection. The virus has infected more than 14 million people worldwide.
