Pedro, a man in poverty and who was circulating through the streets of Los Angeles, was talking and asking for a little respect, apparently, because the people who were nearby did not even return the greeting. At that moment a young woman was passing by , who was moved by the situation
The woman is Randi Emmans Bailyn, who when observing what happened wanted to help and it was for her boyfriend John Suazo since they both manage a social project called Backpacks where they give away bags with essential products, water and food to people in need.
The young couple looked for Pedro to give them one of the backpacks and when asked about his aspirations, he replied that what he wanted most was to see his family again since he had not heard from her in the last 20 years .
After the man told them what he remembered about his family, including his grandmother's address , Randi and John began a search that resulted in contact with an uncle named Pierre who promised to travel to Los Angeles .
Days later, the couple raised money for Pedro to sleep in a hotel, have clothes and food . The long-awaited reunion took place when he was finally able to merge into a strong hug with one of his cousins and his uncle Pierre .
The moving story was released because Randi shared it on social media where she wrote: “It was amazing to see the love that exists between your family despite the years. Yesterday they returned home with Pedro ; he feels amazing. " He added that they hope to stay in touch and be able to visit him soon in Charleston.
