Believe it or not, Steve Wozniak has spent the last 10 years, and $75,000 traveling to 63 different countries in the search for new species of fish to put on his list. He flew over 1 million air miles, and spent over 20,000 hours holding his trusty rod and hoping for a bite. But all his efforts paid out when he finally caught his 1,000th fish species, a Norwegian coalfish, and set a new world record.

Amazing Desk Made From Recycled Books
Amazing Desk Made From Recycled Books at Delft University - The new architecture library at Delft University of Technology just opened featuring a spectacular front desk built out of recycled books. After the devastating fire in the Architecture building that took a portion of the library's reserve, the school set out to establish a new collection that would consist of the salvaged books that went unburned and a bounty of others newly purchased to replace the destroyed volumes. Opened less than a year after the engulfing inferno, the new library is a bright, cheery space of architecturally inspired elements and stacked to the brim with an endless amount of books!
The colorful and carefully arranged desk is a testament to the school’s love for design and books. The strong, solid corners give the desk a solid foundation and the pattern has been arranged so that in some instances the spines of the books are turned out to reveal the title. Recycled books, journals and magazines were used to construct the desk, which was then topped with glass to provide durability and stability.
After such a devastating loss with the destruction of the original Bowkunde building, for the Faculty of Architecture and their students, the opening of this modern, bright and fun space to study and convene was a much needed breath of fresh air. The new library includes collaborative study areas, computer stations, cozy seating, and above all, an entire collection of architecture books making it the ideal haven for architecture students and staff to escape.

Although the road is a busy one, accidents don’t occur every day,” police officer Marja-Leena Huhtala told Reuters. “It made my hair stand on end when I heard the two were brothers, and identical twins at that. It came to mind that perhaps someone from upstairs had a say in this,” she said.

Eight years later, he was sentenced to the gallows for his political activities. But again, his life was saved by the intervention of the same monk. Years later, Ziegland decided to cut down the same tree, which still had the bullet in it. The huge tree seemed so formidable that he decided to blow it up with dynamite. The explosion propelled the bullet into Ziegland’s head, killing him.
4. Golden Scarab
From The Structure and Dynamics of the Psyche: “A young woman I was treating had, at a critical moment, a dream in which she was given a golden scarab. While she was telling me this dream I sat with my back to the closed window. Suddenly I heard a noise behind me, like a gentle tapping. I turned round and saw a flying insect knocking against the window-pane from outside. I opened the window and caught the creature in the air as it flew in. It was the nearest analogy to the golden scarab that one finds in our latitudes, a scarabaeid beetle, the common rose-chafer (Cetonia aurata) which contrary to its usual habits had evidently felt an urge to get into a dark room at this particular moment. I must admit that nothing like it ever happened to me before or since, and that the dream of the patient has remained unique in my experience.” – Carl Jung
3. Taxi
In 1975, while riding a moped in Bermuda, a man was accidentally struck and killed by a taxi. One year later, this man’s bother was killed in the very same way. Coincidentally, Harry Hannin – a basketball star with the famed Harlem Globetrotters – was a good friend of Kupcinet’s. But the story has yet another twist. Just two days later, and before he could tell Hannin of his lucky discovery, Kupcinet received a letter from Hannin. In the letter, Hannin told Kucinet that while staying at the Hotel Meurice in Paris, he found in a drawer a tie – with Kupcinet’s name on it.

Beautiful Exotic Flowers Soap | Thai soap carving art
Thai soap flowers last forever, Beautiful exotic flowers, and they even smell the part, only unlike the real thing.
Although these days, soap flowers can be bought as souvenirs from all around Thailand, these scented masterpieces originated in the villages around Chiang Rai. When they weren’t too busy tending to their farms or working in the rice paddies, locals practiced carving on pieces of soap. Their hobby turned into a fine art, and the delicate soap flowers they sold at the local night markets soon captured tourists’ imagination.
The art of soap carving is passed down from generation to generation, and since it’s all done using a few carving knives, the beauty of the flowers depends a lot on the skill and finesse of the artist. Chiang Rai remains the best place to buy soap flowers as souvenirs, and visitors can witness the carving process first hand.
Take a look at the jaw-dropping soap flowers and tell me if you could ever use any of them for washing your hands. I’d maybe do it if it was the last piece of soap on Earth.
Spray T-Shirt
Spray T-Shirt Designing - Make Own shirts Designs, Quotes Or Text you spray on Clothes that fit like a second skin ideas, try instant fabric Rummaging in a drawer, grabbing a T- shirts and slipping it over your head would certainly be simpler. But some of us are willing to put a little more effort into our wardrobes.
The result? A shirt that fits so snugly it looks as if it has been sprayed on to the body. Actually, it has.
Thanks to a liquid mixture made of cotton fibres we could soon be spraying ourselves into everything from T-shirts, dresses, trousers to swim-wear and hats.
Fabrican - literally fabric in an aerosol can - is the brainchild of Spanish designer Dr Manel Torres who has spent ten years working on his invention.
In a video demonstrating how it works, he sprays a blue and white T-shirt on to a model in just under 15 minutes.
Drying as soon as it hits his skin, the garment can be taken off, washed and re-worn.
Dr Torres teamed up with Paul Luckham, Professor of Particle Technology at Imperial College London, to create Fabrican, which consists of cotton fibres, polymers (the plastics which hold them together) and solvents which keep it in liquid form.
When you get bored with your creation it can be dissolved and the material used again to make something new or repair old designs.
Dr Torres said the idea was to be able to create clothes instantly and cheaply, all of which would be a perfect fit.
'I really wanted to make a futuristic, seamless, quick and comfortable material,' he said.
'To show science and technology can help fashion designers, I ended up returning to the principles of the earliest textiles such as felt, which were also produced by taking fibres and finding a way of binding them together without having to weave or stitch.'
Fabrican is still a couple of years from hitting the shelves.
Dr Torres is working on ways to create more forgiving shapes as not everyone likes their clothes clinging to every curve. He is also trying to minimise the distinct whiff of solvent about the garments.
And although some spray-on designs will be on show at London Fashion Week, the instant fabric could end up being used for everything from bandages to furniture upholstery.

Yoga Bear
Meet The Yoga Bear strikes a pose at Finnish zoo - The lithe female brown bear, who lives at Ahtari Zoo in Finalnd, was snapped doing a yoga routine by amateur photographer Meta Penca.
Much to the delight of onlookers, the bear limbered up for a full 15 minutes.
Of course, Yogi bear, Yellowstone Park’s most famous inhabitant, would be dismayed at all this activity.
Not all members of the ursine community waste their time persecuting park rangers, corrupting their diminutive sidekicks and gorging themselves on stolen picnic baskets. As these remarkable pictures demonstrate, Santra is altogether more spiritual – and lithe – than the average bear.
"She held her legs with her hands for a minute or two in a V position and then put them down and relaxed," said Meta Penca, a 29-year-old web programmer.
"Then she put up her left leg and put it straight with her hands and held it with her left hand for a bit. Then she lifted the other leg, straightened it and held it with her right hand for around two minutes and then had a little rest and then all over again.
"It was exactly the same as when you see people do yoga; easy, slow, focused and calm. She looked pretty into it, a really straight face, no looking around just very serious and calm and kept her eyes slightly opened and focused."
Paul Harvey, a Bristol-based yoga teacher and trainer, said Santra was indeed practising the ancient Indian discipline.
"She looks like quite a lonely bear," he said. "Perhaps she's doing yoga to keep herself sane."
Harvey, who has taught yoga for 35 years, identified a number of posture variations in Penca's pictures.
"The first is spread legs, holding big toes or feet – and she's doing a pretty good job with claws," he said.
"The second is the same posture, with chanting. The third is a one leg variation, the fourth a variation with the other leg. The fifth is a seated head-to-foot posture. Six is a single raised leg stretch and seven is a seated, spread-legs forward bend."
The bear's flexibility and balance, he added, marked her out as something of an expert: "These are not beginners' postures. Yogi bear is definitely an advanced practitioner."
Anyway, we bet you didn’t know that brown bears liked yoga, and we’re pretty sure you didn’t know any of these other amazing facts about the creatures either
