Giethoorn Village in Netherlands | Fairytale Village

Giethoorn Village in Netherlands | Fairytale Village also dubbed "Venice of the North"

Giethoorn is a mostly car-free village in the northeastern Dutch province of Overijssel. It’s known for its boat-filled waterways, footpaths, bicycle trails, and centuries-old thatched-roof houses. It borders a section of the Weerribben-Wieden National Park, a marshy area once popular for peat and reed harvesting. Next to the park, Museum Giethoorn ‘t Olde Maat Uus is a farm museum illustrating the region’s history.

If you ever wanted to live your own fairy-tale, you may want to consider moving to the village Giethoorn. Also known as “Venice of the Netherlands”, this magical village founded around 1230 is the kind most people could only dream of… It has no roads or any modern transportation at all, only canals. Well, and 176 bridges too. Tourists have to leave their cars outside of the village and travel here by foot or boat by (usually by “whisper boats”, which have noiseless engines). So you can probably imagine how peaceful it is here (well, when it isn’t flooded with tourists, of course)… Even the village’s website says that “the loudest sound you can normally hear is the quacking of a duck or the noise made by other birds”.

A 20-year-old Yemeni national named Mohammed Muqbel achieved this feat with three eggs Tower in Kuala Lumpur.

Holding a world record is a very lovely feeling. It shows the world that the person has authority in the certain activities that they performed that garnered this award.

When the phrase ‘world record’ is heard, people automatically go to two labels that are known for this- Guinness World Records and the Limca Book of Records. People would do just about anything to have their names in the illustrious book so that the world knows who they are.

Now, records are not just associated with sporting events, thanks to these authorities. Guinness has certain activities lined up where participants from across the world take part to create their own records.

Sphynx Cat is a Hairless Cat breed

Sphynx Cat is a Hairless Cat breed

The Sphynx cat is a breed of cat known for its lack of coat (fur). Hairlessness in cats is a naturally occurring genetic mutation; however, the Sphynx cat, as a breed, was developed through selective breeding, starting in the 1960s.

The skin should have the texture of chamois leather, as it has fine hairs, or the cat may be completely hairless. Whiskers may be present, either whole or broken, or maybe totally absent. The cats have a narrow, long head, and webbed feet. Their skin is the color that their fur would be, and all the usual cat markings (solid, point, van, tabby, tortie, etc.) may be found on the Sphynx cat's skin. Because they have no fur they lose more body heat than coated cats; this makes them warm to the touch, and prone to finding warm places.

Nature M.S. Covers his Face with 60,000 Bees World Record

Nature M.S. Covers his Face with 60,000 Bees World Record

An Indian beekeeper trusts his insect friends so much that he lets 60,000 of them cover his face. The 24-year-old, known as Nature M.S., regards the bees as his 'best friends' and says they do not regard him as a threat. Nature has been keeping bees on his face since he was seven years old, impressing his childhood friends with the trick in Kerala. He also holds the Guinness World Record for the longest time with his head fully covered in bees, at an astonishing four hours, 10 minutes and five seconds

A brave nature-lover has risked his life by allowing 60,000 bees to cover his face - because they 'comfort him'. Nature M.S. has been around the buzzing insects all his life because his father Sajayakumar is an award-winning beekeeper and honey maker.

He started doing stunts with bees when he was just five and now regularly lets the pollinating insects free from their boxes to gather on his face. The agricultural student, from Thrissur in Kerala, India, insists he doesn't feel their stings because they are simply 'playful bites'.

Nature insists he can even go about his daily life with the bees buzzing around his head - and can read books, walk, and even dance with them in place. He said: 'I do it because I have developed a bond with the bees and their presence comforts me.

'I cannot recall ever being without the bees. At first, I was too small to differentiate between a bee and a fly. Bees have been like flies to be - no more harmful. 'Even before I learned that they can sting I had already built a bond with them so I never feel threatened by them and the feeling is mutual.

'I have been stung by bees many times but I never felt the pain. Those were like playful bites maybe. I can handle the bees with ease. In most cases, they don't bite me. 'I have dedicated my life to the well being and protection of bees. 'Through my stunt shows, I intend to create awareness about the bees' genteelness among the public.' His father said he fell in love with bees when he was 15 and his poor family had to steal fruit and honey from neighboring farms to survive. He now has 1,500 boxes each housing 60,000 bees. He said: 'My son is well experienced.' Nature is hoping to do a doctorate or Ph.D. in Agriculture with a focus on beekeeping.

Even experienced beekeepers can suffer dangerous allergic reactions - but the risk of stings on his lips or eyelids does not worry Nature, who says he is to blame for any stings rather than the bees. He said he was first introduced to the buzzing creatures by his father Sajayakumar who is himself an award-winning beekeeper and a honey maker. Nature - who has a brother with the bee-themed name of Nectar - said his first experience of being covered by bees was when he put a queen on his hand.

He said: 'Soon a swarm of buzzing insects crowded around as they covered my arm within 15 minutes. They were on my hand in search of the queen and to protect it. The next day I tried a similar stunt with the queen on my head and within moments my entire head and face got covered.' My father's advice always comes to my mind and eliminates any nervousness or fear.

'My father always advised me to be calm with the bees and treat them like a friend. He also asked me to take deep breaths and never lose patience or give in to fear. 'Initially, it was not that easy, but I never felt awkward ever, in fact, I felt awesome. 'There was no problem with them on my face at all and I could see everything, I even did a little walk and a dance.

'Right since the very first experience, I got attached to the honeybees. Even before I learned the fact that honeybee stings are dangerous, I had developed a special bond with them.' Nature said he has been stung by the bees, but it is his fault when it happens and not theirs.

He said: 'Without any fault of mine a bee would never sting me at all.' His affection towards bees has led him to pursue academic studies in apiculture and he is currently studying for a master's at a college in Bangalore, India. He dreams of pursuing a doctorate in this field to protect the bees and learn more about them and bee rearing.

Nature said: 'Honey is the favorite and the sweetest thing in the world for humans, everyone loves to have honey. 'Bees are my best friends and I wished others too can love my friends as I do. I and my father started campaigning about bee protection and the importance of beekeeping. 'People are often scared of bees because they sting. 'Honeybees are the key insects in society, it is our duty to protect them. Without honeybees, the earth could not sustain us all.'

Selling Son Online for Drug | Selling a New Born Baby in China

A drug-addict couple has been charged in China after selling their newborn son online to strangers for nearly £7,000 to buy crystal meth.

The parents rushed to trade off their baby last October after striking a deal with another couple who had trouble conceiving through an online chatting platform.

The pair had been on the police's radar due to their history of drug abuse and were caught the next day in a hotel room with meth bottles and stacks of cash.

The parents from south-western Chinese city Neijiang were sentenced last month for child trafficking, reported Chinese news outlet Sina.

Their son has been rescued by police and is now looked after by the grandparents.

According to the report, the couple, Mr Wang and Ms Zhong, was a long-time drug addict and buried in debts.

Ms Zhong was pregnant at the beginning of last year and even used meth multiple times during her pregnancy.

The pair then decided to sell their unborn son to pay off their overdue debts.

In February last year, Ms Zhong got to know a woman called Ms Lan in a group on QQ, a popular chatting platform.

Ms Lan and her husband, Mr Chen, had struggled to conceive for years and were desperate for a baby.

Ms Zhong had been imprisoned for various crimes before, including providing venues for drug users, robbery and child trafficking. But in 2018, she gave birth to her second child and her sentences were executed outside the jail. She got 'let go' by her prison's manager in June, 2018.

Upon knowing Ms Lan last February, she told the woman that she couldn't afford to raise a child and was looking for a family to 'look after' her unborn child.

They agreed that Ms Lan would pay 60,000 yuan (£6,800) 'nutrition fees' to the drug-addict couple, who would then hand over the baby as soon as he was born.

On October 11, Ms Zhong gave birth to a healthy boy. Within hours, Mr Wang left the hospital with his baby in a hurry.

But the parents did not realize that they had been under police surveillance due to their history of drug abuse.

Suspected of the father's strange act, the officers immediately started tracing Mr Wang's whereabouts and spotted him completing the deal with Ms Lan and Mr Chen.

On the next day, the authority tracked down Ms Lan and Mr Chen, who confessed their agreement with the sellers. The newborn boy was found at Ms Lan and Mr Chen's home.

Police officers later caught Mr Wang and Ms Zhong in a hotel room.

Footage shows the officers arresting Mr Wang and Ms Zhong while stacks of cash and used meth bottles were scattered around the bed.

The couple admitted that they had bought a batch of crystal meth and two brand-new mobile phones with the profit from selling their son.

They said that they had just finished the drugs before the police arrived.

The drug-addict parents were found guilty of child trafficking on May 29 by the Shizhong District People's Court of Neijiang.

Mr Wang was jailed for five years. His wife Ms Zhong was handed a six-year prison sentence.

The court said Ms Zhong would be imprisoned for a combined 13 years due to 'unfinished prison terms from previous crimes'.

Surrogate Mother Own Grand Child | Surrogacy Mother

Breanna Lockwood and her husband-of-four-years Aaron has revealed her 51-year-old Mother Julie is carrying her baby from Chicago

An influencer who blogs about her infertility battles has revealed her 51-year-old mother is carrying her baby.

Breanna Lockwood, from Chicago, and her husband-of-four-years Aaron, 28, have been trying to get pregnant since they got married.

The couple has endured seven surgical procedures, three rounds of harvesting eggs, and four failed embryo transfers, as well as a single and twin miscarriage and an ectopic pregnancy.

Breanna has shared their painful struggle on her Instagram and Facebook pages over the past year, admitting in a recent post: 'The trials and tribulations of infertility was undoubtedly the hardest venture we have had to face in our lives.'

But last month she revealed that their dream of becoming parents is a step closer to becoming a reality, thanks to her mother Julie.

Over the weekend, Breanna posted a photo of Julie at 17 weeks pregnant, cradling her baby bump while she and Aaron hold up the ultrasound and announcement board.

She captioned the sweet image: 'They say, "It takes a village to raise a child," but for some, it can take a village to HAVE a child... We are happy to announce, finally... BABY LOCKWOOD IS ON THE WAY!'

Explaining the baby was 'made with a lot of love and a little bit of science', Brianna told how Julie is their gestational carrier.

'My mom will be carrying and delivering our baby!' she continued. 'The biggest supporter in my life is giving us our biggest blessing.

My beautiful mama is carrying her first grandchild, Aaron, and my biological child, as a gestational carrier!'

A gestational carrier is a woman who carries someone else's biological child without donating any of her own eggs or DNA.

Breanna told how Julie went 'through the wringer of heath tests' to see if she could qualify to be her surrogate.

In fact, the mother-to-be says she was turned down by multiple reproductive doctors who said that her mom is too old to be a surrogate, even though she is in 'tip-top' shape physically.

'Starting this venture I was told "no" by multiple REs [reproductive endocrinologists] as the standard age cut off is 45,' Breanna explained.

In the end, however, it was Julie's healthy, active lifestyle that convinced doctors she would be able to carry a child safely.

Once my doctor met my mom at one of my appointments I could see his wheels start turning,' Breanna said. 'My mom is a double Boston marathon runner, and triathlete, and looks more like my sister.

'She is in tip-top shape, better health than she was in her twenties when she gave birth to me! He agreed to see if she passed the preliminary testing and talk to the board... with flying colors she passed.'

The embryo transfer took place on February 25, and Julie is now due in November.

Breanna wrote: 'Sharing this adventure with my mom has been the most unique and amazing experience.

'Surrogacy is truly the most selfless gift. She is the pure example of "you would do anything for your kids" and if I can even behalf of the mother she is, I know I'm doing something right.'

She added that Julie is one of only a handful of surrogates across the US to deliver their grandchild via gestational surrogacy.

The response from Breanna's 5,809 Instagram followers was overwhelmingly positive, with many commenting on her mother's incredible gesture.

One wrote: 'This is absolutely beautiful,' while another posted: 'So incredible! What a wonderful gift for all of you!'

In a follow-up, Facebook post, in which she tagged her mom Julie, her father Rick, and her husband Aaron, Breanna thanked all of the thousands of people who have reached out to offer words of support to the family.

'I just want to say we are absolutely overwhelmed with the love and kind words we have received! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!' she wrote.

'Never in a million years did I expect to receive so many touching messages, from all of the worlds, of women struggling with infertility and loss.

'Don’t be ashamed of your story, it will inspire others.'

Building Your Own Private Beach | Custom Private Pool

Building Your Own Private Beach | Custom Private Pool with sandy beaches

A Spanish company called Piscinas de Arena NaturSand builds sand pools — custom pools with sandy beaches — and if you already have a pool, it can convert it into a beach. The company claims that it can "provide an environment similar to that of a piece of natural beach."

Sounds amazing, right? A quick look at its Facebook page provides all the inspiration you need for your own backyard pool with a twist.

The company's sand pools are made of special concrete mixed with sand, which is reinforced to make it strong enough for the pool. More perks: the sand doesn't get hot, and you can get a customized pool built to suit your plot and dimensions. In some cases, weather-permitting, a sand pool can be built in only 30 days.

Seems like a great way to beat the heat this summer!

Piscinas de Arena NaturSand is based in Spain, but it provides construction or renovation of pools all over the world. The company has built more than 800 sand pools in over 14 different countries, including the US, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Colombia, Brazil, United Arab Emirates, and Morocco.

Your sand pool can have various depths and lighting styles, and it doesn't require a ladder. That's because the entrance of the pool is at ground level on a soft ramp — just like the entrance to the ocean at a beach. In terms of maintenance, the company's website says it's pretty much the same as a regular pool.

You have to get in touch with the company via their website to get a quote, and it's probably reasonable to assume a sand pool doesn't come cheap. But this is one investment that you can enjoy regardless of what's going on elsewhere in the world, right?

Leather Made from a Cactus | Cactus Leather

Leather Made from a Cactus | Cactus Leather

Two entrepreneurs in Mexico have developed a durable vegan leather from cactus, and it could very well replace animal leather!

Adrian Lopez Velarde and Marte Cazarez came together to create a cruelty-free alternative to animal leather, and just last month, they debuted Desserto, a first-of-it’s-kind organic leather made entirely from nopal or prickly-pear cactus.

Apart from being natural and cruelty-free, the material also meets the specifications of several industries and can be used in:

  • Fashion
  • Leather goods
  • Furniture
  • Automobiles

It’s also flexible, breathable and durable, making it an ideal replacement for animal and synthetic leather. The touch and feel of the material is also soft and very similar to real leather. “After two years of research and development, we managed to produce a suitable material that complies with the features and technical/mechanical specifications required by those industries that use animal and synthetic leather,” said Lopez.

The product is also highly sustainable with a lower carbon footprint than other leather alternatives. It also happens to be:

  • Less water intensive
  • Free from phthalates
  • Free from toxic chemicals
  • PVC-free

The duo showcased the product last month at the International Leather Fair Lineappelle in Milan, Italy.

Plant-based leather alternatives are a growing market, with innovators turning to pineapple, olives and coconuts to produce eco-friendly materials. Earlier this year, high-street retailer H&M unveiled a vegan jacket made from pineapple leather, while German footwear brand thies launched a line of leather shoes made from olive leaves. Closer to home, Kerala-based brand Malai fashions leather and accessories from coconuts!

Gender Change Before and After Surgery | Sex change Operation

Gender Change Before and After Surgery | Sex change Operation
Humans are most commonly said to have "a sex change" when they undergo sex reassignment therapy, that is, a set of medical procedures undergone by transsexual people to alter their sexual characteristics from male to female or from female to male. “This is year to years after hormone replacement therapy, male to female (MTF). Freedom!” - it’s crazy how hard it was to find decent pre-transition pictures!”

Wuhan's Heaviest Man

Zhou, 26, gained 225 pounds during COVID-19 quarantine, becoming Wuhan's heaviest man

A 26-year-old Chinese man was recently labeled Wuhan’s fattest person after gaining a whopping 100 kilograms during the city’s five-month lockdown.

The man, referred to only as Zhou, to protect his privacy, wasn’t exactly fir before the coronavirus started wreaking havoc in Wuhan, prompting the authorities to impose a strict lockdown. But at least he kept his weight in check, worked at a local cafe and lead a relatively normal lifestyle. But that all changed when Zhou started spending most of his time indoor. Unable to burn off any calories, he started gaining weight, and in a few months’ time he had ballooned to 616 pounds (280 kilograms), over 200 pounds more than he weighed before the Covid-19 epidemic.

The images of Zhou, released by the Wuhan University Central South Hospital on Chinese social media platform Weibo, showed that medical workers were examining the Wuhan man after he was admitted on June 1.

The Wuhan's heaviest man, Zhou had been working at an internet café before the coronavirus outbreak. He stopped getting out of his residence when the city went into lockdown in January after the COVID-19 cases started increasing rapidly in the Chinese city. He did not step out of his shed for almost five months and gained 224 pounds of extra bodyweight.

Zhou's story was revealed by a senior doctor at the hospital in a social media post. He wrote that the man had sought treatment in major hospitals in Jiangcheng but in vain. On May 31, Dr Li Zhen, the deputy director of the Obesity and Metabolic Surgery Center of the Central South Hospital of Wuhan University, received a phone call from Zhou, who desperately sought his help. "Doctor, I haven't closed my eyes for 48 hours. It's so uncomfortable. Can you help me?"

The next day, an ambulance was rushed to his place and Zhou was taken to the hospital's ICU. He was weighing 278 kg at the time of admission and doctors found that he had many life-threatening symptoms such as heart failure and respiratory dysfunction.

In its Weibo post, the hospital mentioned that the doctors at Hospital Sleep Medicine Center hope to conduct sleep monitoring for Zhou but he was too obese for any test. "The length of the chest and abdomen belt cannot be satisfied, and there is more fat in the brain, which affects the collection of EEG signals," the post said.

Since obesity is prone to sweat, it would affect the interpretation of EEG results and his thick arm has made it impossible to detect conventional physical health indicators such as blood pressure levels. It took more than a week for them to give symptomatic treatment to control Zhou's condition and on June 11, doctors declared him out of danger. Now Zhou has been transferred to the general ward of the Obesity and Metabolic Surgery Center.

Dr. Zhen explained that Zhou was overweight when he was admitted to the hospital and he occupied the entire hospital bed surface without even turning over. He said Zhou's obesity was caused by genetic factors and endocrine abnormalities.

The social media post noted that an effective treatment method could be to induce weight loss by removing a part of the stomach through gastric-band or stomach reduction surgery. Otherwise, the excessive weight would soon overload the heart and lungs, posing a bigger to Zhou's life, it said.

However, Dr. Zhen is very cautious as the risk of surgery is equally high. "I can only hope that by adjusting diet and rest and other methods, it (body weight) can reduce more than 50 pounds in three months so that the risk of surgery will be greatly reduced," he said.

Until then, Zhou will continue in the general ward of the hospital. Doctors are hopeful that he would adjust to his new physical condition and cooperate to reduce his bodyweight as much as possible before a feasible stomach reduction surgery is performd on him.

Britain's Youngest Entrepreneur become a Millionaire

Brave Alfie Bradley Britain's youngest entrepreneur has launched a garden and maintenance business aged six - and vowed to become a millionaire.

Brave Alfie Bradley has battled a severe speech disorder to set up his own firm Alfred's Cutting Services during lockdown.

He already has a string of regular clients and is re-investing all profits into growing the business.

The socially conscious go-getter - who charges £10 a job - even offers a discount to NHS staff who employ his services.

Alfie, of Redruth, Cornwall, said: 'I want to be a millionaire.'

The schoolboy is assisted by his dad Anthony, 45, but the family say all the work carried out and the idea behind it was all his.

And he has already upgraded his mower and bought with a jet-wash with the wages he has earned.

Mum Amy Bradley, 34, said: 'There's no stopping him. He's like a mini Richard Branson.

He's always on his feet doing something so lockdown really restricted him from doing things outside of our home.

'Then he figured out a way of keeping moving as well as helping other people.'

Alfie is busy building his customer base through word of mouth and a dedicated Facebook page. He has three 'regular clients' and several others who have paid him for one-off work.

He has also produced a fully liveried 'work uniform.'

Amy said her son's achievements were all the more remarkable as he was diagnosed with a speech disorder when he was just four.

This affects how he hears and pronounces sounds but with help of his teachers, speech therapy and support he has started to improve.

Amy continued: 'Alfie was completely non verbal until he was nearly four, that impacted a lot on his social skills and made him terrified of the outside world.

'This business is just a massive thing for Alfie.

'Academically he's very behind and has to have personal help from an assistant but it's never stopped him from being so hands on and determined.'

Alfie is now branching out from garden services into cleaning windows.

The grass cutting idea first came to him when his dad Anthony came across two strimmers that needed fixing.

Amy added: 'Sadly, the strimmers couldn't be fixed but Alfie's grandad got involved to let him know he had a lawn mower for sale and the business grew from there.

'His dad goes with him on every job and all the work is done with social distancing in place.

After a few jobs Alfie was able to find himself a better lawn mower, strimmer and pressure washer from the money he'd made from all of his clients.'

'He has a few regular clients and so many other people who have paid for the odd job.

'He charges £10 but if someone is elderly or an NHS worker he does it a bit cheaper.'

Alfie said he wanted to become a millionaire so he could buy a garage for his dad and Uncle Lee 'so we can all work together.'

He added: 'Granddad is 83 and still tinkers with cars.

'I just want everyone in the world to be happy.'

Longest Phone Call Ever | Tony Breaks Longest Phone Calls Record

Tony Wright has broken the record for the longest continuous phone call ever recorded Chatterbox Tony Wright today broke the world record for the longest phone call - and he was still talking.
The Cornishman talked on his internet phone for 40 hours - and was still going strong. The previous record for the world's longest phone call stood at 39 hours, 18 minutes and 24 seconds. It was set on November 3, 2005 by Sandra Kobel and Stephen Hafner, from Switzerland. But shortly after 2am today, Mr Wright successfully broke the record while talking to Jenny Barnard, of north London. His record bid began when he chatted to TV weather forecaster Sian Lloyd almost two days ago. Since then hundreds of people have taken hourly chat slots with Mr Wright to help him beat the record. "I have now got my own little piece of world record history," said Ms Barnard, who was speaking to Mr Wright when the record was broken. Conversation subjects have, so far, ranged from heartbreaks and romance to psychobabble and from stomach mucus to the upcoming Led Zeppelin concert. "Luckily, I do not have to worry about a huge phone bill because we are using Tesco internet phones, meaning that this mammoth call is free," said Mr Wright. The world record celebrates the launch of new low-cost monthly call plans from Tesco internet phone. Anyone with broadband internet access will be able to make really long phone calls for free, or for a fraction of what you would expect to pay. ::

Mr Wright broke the world record for sleeplessness by staying awake for 11 days in May this year.

Fashion Tips

1. White reflects light so wherever you wear it you will bring attention. Having said that, if you have any body parts you don't want to appear larger don't accentuate that area by adorning it in white and wearing a dark color next to it. What you can do is wear white from head- to- toe so no particular area has focus. For example, if you have large hips don't wear white bottoms with a dark top because the eye will be drawn to the bottom. Instead, wear a white top and white pants and use accessories to take the focus away from the problem area. Or wear white on top and black on the bottom.

2.Wear black and white combinations with accessories to create impact. Wear a white skirt with a black top, black shoes, white handbag, and a black/white necklace. Handbags and scarves that have a black and white pattern will also bring some pizzazz. Experiment.

3. To change your look, wear white with bright colors such as pink and green. Again, choose accessories that will add interest. A pink or green b ag, pink jewelry, pink shoes etc. You can also try 3 color combinations such as pink/black/white green/black/white or red/black/white.

4 . Wear white only until the end of the summer season and don't wear white to a wedding unless you are the bride.

5 . Wear white T-shirts with jeans and choose a finer fabric to wear with suits for a more professional look. When you wear whites pay attention to your undergarments ? Avoid lacy bras ? Choose to wear nudes, they will not show under white.
