Noah Wall - Boy Born Without A Brain | Brain Miracle Child

Noah Wall - Boy Born Without A Brain | Miracle Child | Cumbrian boy Noah Wall's Hopes of Walking | Boy Born With 2% of His Brain Defies | Born With 98% Brain Missing | The Birth of a Miracle Child

They called him “the boy born without a brain.” But now, six years later, Noah Wall’s brain is 80 percent of the size of a normal brain—and he continues to defy the odds.

At 20 weeks pregnant, Shelly and Rob Wall received some devastating news: their unborn child had spina bifida and hydrocephalus, which causes the skull to fill with fluid and the head to expand. There was fear that the baby would not survive outside of the womb because there is a high mortality rate attached to hydrocephaly due to the fact that the area of the brain that controls breathing might be compromised or damaged.

But when Noah was born, he let out a scream—and the Wall’s journey to help their son thrive despite his illness began. Doctors put a shunt in his head to help drain the fluid, and everyone hoped for the best.

At Noah’s first post-birth scan, the found something shocking—Noah had only two percent of his brain. He was able to eat, breathe, and drink because his brain stem was intact, says Dr. Gregory Scott, a neuroscience researcher at Imperial College London.

James Bond Mansion - Home Sale For $100 Million Property in Malibu

James Bond Mansion - Home Sale For $100 million Property in Malibu

“James Bond” star Pierce Brosnan is shooting for nine figures in Malibu, where his Thai-inspired retreat on Broad Beach just hit the market for $100 million.

The mammoth price tag makes it the eighth-priciest home on the market in L.A. County. If it sells for anywhere close to $100 million, it’ll mark a massive return on investment for the Irish American actor; records show he compiled the compound in 2000, buying one lot for $5.1 million and another for $2.25 million.

The oceanfront retreat spans more than an acre with two homes that combine for five bedrooms and 14 bathrooms. Past a pair of carved teak gates, the verdant grounds are filled with palm trees, tropical flowers, travertine courtyards and wraparound lanais.

Known as Orchid House, the main home boasts interiors lined with glass and teak that take in commanding ocean and mountain views. On the main level, there’s a great room and a kitchen with white crystal counters. Amenities on the lower level include a theater with tiered seating and a music room/recording studio. The spa adds two saunas, a steam room, Japanese soaking tub, cold plunge and shower.

A model who shed eight stone to be crowned Miss GB says 'fat-shaming' inspired her to lose weight and criticised people for being 'way too easily offended.' Jen Atkin used to weigh 18 stone before she decided to heed messages such as 'burn those calories.' But the 26-year-old has revealed her horror that the very language which spurred her on was being advised against by the British Psychological Society which argued that we ought to say that someone is 'living with obesity,' rather than that they are obese.

Ms Atkin said that 'hiding terms' such as 'burn off last night's pizza' would only exacerbate Britain's fat crisis – with almost two thirds of UK adults now classed as obese. The model from Grimsby told the BBC: 'I think it's going to encourage people to eat more calories and not keep track of what they're eating and therefore end up overweight or obese. It's just avoiding the issue completely.

Balloon Sculpture - Eye Popping Balloon Art and Sculptures

Balloon Sculpture - Eye Popping Balloon Art and Sculptures

We are all familiar with balloon sculptures. As children, we all watched in fascination as clowns who mastered the art of balloon sculpture deftly transformed ordinary balloons into swords and animals. These rounded shapes aren't just present at birthday parties, they're also very much present in contemporary art. Seemingly naive, artists use this art form to express unexpected metaphors.

The world-famous American artist Jeff Koons is undoubtedly accountable for this trend. Balloon Dog, his most famous and expensive creation (estimated at 58 million dollars), has contributed to making these rounded shapes omnipresent in contemporary art. It took Koons and his team 4 years to make 5 versions of the 3-meter high sculpture. The shiny stainless steel sculpture exists in a range of colours: magenta, orange, blue, yellow, and red. For Koons, art is a limitless playground in which dogs, pop art characters and tulips unite.

Taking inspiration from the great masters of the 20th century, Balloon Dog could be defined as a hybrid creation of Marcel Duchamp's ready-made art, Claes Oldenburg's colossal artworks, and of course Andy Warhol's colourful Pop Art.

Sharks Facts | Surprising Facts You Need to Know About Sharks | Shark Facts That May Surprise You | Shocking Facts about Sharks for kids

Sharks Fish are a group of elasmobranch fish characterized by a cartilaginous skeleton, five to seven gill slits on the sides of the head, and pectoral fins that are not fused to the head. Modern sharks are classified within the clade Selachimorpha and are the sister group to the rays.

However, the term "shark" has also been used for extinct members of the subclass Elasmobranchii outside the Selachimorpha, such as Cladoselache and Xenacanthus, as well as other Chondrichthyes such as the holocephalid eugenedontidans.

The earliest known sharks date back to more than 420 million years ago. Acanthodians are often referred to as "spiny sharks"; though they are not part of Chondrichthyes proper, they are a paraphyletic assemblage leading to cartilaginous fish as a whole. Since then, sharks have diversified into over 500 species.

Yahav Draizin - Smartphone Photography Reality Vs Imagination

Yahav Draizin - Smartphone Photography Reality Vs Imagination | Imagination Using His Smart Phone - Bring Everyday Objects To Life | Bring Everyday Objects To Life With My Smartphone | This Guy Plays With Your Imagination Using His Phone | This Guy Removes The Line Between Reality And Imagination

Artist Name is Yahav Draizin, and I work in advertising. I'm constantly looking for inspiration. Using my phone, I match images from popular culture and beyond to places, people, and objects to bring them to life, but with a fun twist. All photos are taken in real locations using two smartphones and no Photoshop or editing.

Photography has been my hobby since I was a little boy. I love it because it allows me to be creative and explore different angles and different stories that others don’t always see.

I think it’s a fun way to make an ordinary situation extraordinary, to make magic by combining two different things into a whole new story. A smartphone is something we all carry all day and it allows me to take this kind of photo spontaneously on the spot whenever an idea comes. I always carry two phones to do this.

Edible Food Art Decorative With Fresh Fruit And Vegetables

Edible Food Art Decorative With Fresh Fruit And Vegetables

Edible art refers to food created to be art. It is distinguished from Edible Arrangements (which predominantly consist of fruit) because it is usually more elaborate dessert food. A common form of edible art is wedding cakes, but options for artistic confections range far beyond marital celebrations. Cakes made into art include birthday cakes, cakes for baby showers, for graduation celebrations, and many other types of event.

Each piece looks unique, even if created for the same event, because each creator has their own idea in mind when creating their food art. Such pieces of art can be created using a cake base onto which the decorations are placed on, or they can be made purely out of fondant or sugar, while edible, is not created with consumption intended, such as Mexican Calavera

I took an interest in food from a very young age. By twelve, I was already cooking family meals as a way to help my father after a long day of work. The love for food that started at twelve has developed into different activities over time. Providing nutritious homemade meals—predominantly made from fruit and vegetables—is a daily task. "Edible Food Art for Kids," on the other hand, is an outlet to relax after a hard day’s work while making a snack for the family.

The full moon is a symbol of reunion, and the Mid-Autumn Festival is also alternatively called the reunion. This is also the occasion to care, show gratitude to parents and friends, to reunite, and love again.

Mid-Autumn Festival is a Vietnamese tradition closely related to the worship of the Moon. So, on the Mid-Autumn Festival, according to Vietnamese custom, all family members put the feast tray on the altar to worship the moon (pray to heaven and earth). Sergio Odeith - Street Artist Paints 3D Creature Arts Graffiti

Sergio Odeith - Street Artist Paints 3D Creature Arts Graffiti | Mind-Bending 3D Art Pieces By Portuguese Graffiti Artist | Amazing 3D Street Art Realistic Graffiti | Amazing 3D Murals That Jump Off The Walls

Talk about graffiti artists today, and you'll find they have shed some of the street arts old stigmas. The once-rogue street art genre has been welcomed into the traditional art world, and when you look at the fantastic 3D street art of Sergio Odeith, it's easy to see why.

The Portuguese artist started creating realistic art in the '90s when it was first gaining prominence in the country. He started with simple sketches on street walls and train tracks but then advanced into large-scale 3D drawings. Odeith continued to evolve and adopted the obscure signature style, which he refers to as "sombre 3D." This technique combines angles, lines, and shadows to create an extraordinary 3D art effect. In 2005 he gained international recognition for his anamorphic art series and realistic drawings, which looked like something out of a science horror fiction flick, with giant spiders appearing to climb off the walls at helpless passers-by.

Not surprisingly, the Lisbon-based muralist has since been asked to design pieces across the pond in the U.S cities of Baton Rouge, L.A, Charleston and Lexington and has even received business contracts with major corporations like Coca-Cola, Samsung, and Shell.

Hannah Bullen-Ryner Beautiful Birds Composed From Flowers and Leaves

Hannah Bullen-Ryner Beautiful Birds Composed From Flowers and Leaves | The Botanical Bird Art | Artist Uses Leaves And Flowers To Create Mesmerizing Bird Portraits

Whether we've already discovered them or not, we all have our own ways of finding inner peace. For Hannah Bullen-Ryner, it comes through reconnecting with Mother Earth.

Bullen-Ryner composes beautiful birds using only natural materials found locally and no permanent fixings. Scavenging her surroundings, she puts together flowers, leaves, twigs, and berries to form delicate portraits either on the woodland floor or under one small oak. When she's done, they last only a few moments before nature starts reclaiming them. Luckily, that brief period of time is enough for Hannah to photograph her artworks, or as she calls it, offerings to Mother Nature. Soon after, they get taken by the breeze, rearranged by the rain, or wriggled through by an insect and leave no trace behind.

The artist says she creates to share her love for nature and to soothe her soul, and you can definitely feel it in the photos of her ephemeral pieces.

Bullen-Ryner is both an artist and someone who appreciates nature, having been outdoors her whole life. "Originally a painter and photographer, I have always found art to be cathartic, a way to let it all out, a way to express what couldn't be said "Equally, I have always felt deeply connected to the Earth and to her magic and her ability to soothe a weary soul."

Toonify Turns Yourself Photos Into Pixar Cartoon Characters

Toonify Turns Yourself Photos Into Pixar Cartoon Characters | This Toonify yourself | Justin Pinkney App That Turns People Into Pixar-Like Cartoon Characters Gets The Internet Buzzing

You've probably heard what crazy stuff AI, machine learning, and deep learning technologies are capable of. Like creating portraits of people who don’t exist, or making a 15th-century Renaissance painting out of your picture, or turning your static single selfie into a living image. Sounds crazy, because it is, but it turns out, this is not all.

Two programmers and AI enthusiasts, Justin Pinkney and Doron Adler, have just created a new mind-bending "toonification" system that basically turns your portrait into a cute cartoon character. Thanks to deep learning, the algorithm fine-tunes the original face and blends it with a cartoon model, keeping the identities the same, but the features cartoonish.

Apparently, their “Toonify” website got so much attention on social media, with people flocking to the website to toonify their selfies, that the costs got out of hand and the team had to temporarily turn off the server.

While they’re working on bringing it back to us, let’s take a look at some of the most amusing cartoon transformations down below so that you'll have time to decide whether to go for Elsa from Frozen, or stick to the Nemo makeover.
