Battoulah ( Islamic female clothing ) is a metallic-looking mask traditionally worn by Muslim Arab, Persian, and Baluch women in Arab states of the Persian Gulf, including Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Oman and Qatar, as well as in southern Iran. The origin of the battoulah is unknown, but it is thought to have entered the Eastern Arabian Peninsula from Gujarat in late 18th century. The tradition is less popular with the newer generations, but is still followed by women in their 70s and older, and by those living in rural areas

An autistic boy's fascination with the Titanic ocean liner – and his ability to build with Legos – gave him a lifeline to independence. Brynjar Karl Birgisson was 10 when he spent 700 hours over 11 months building a 26-foot-long Titanic replica using 56,000 Lego bricks. His work helped raise the boy from Iceland out of a self-described "autistic fog."

Now, at 17, Brynjar is known worldwide as "the Lego boy" and often gives talks and speeches about how the Titanic and Legos changed his life. His story, already the subject of a book, is now told in a documentary premiering in Pigeon Forge. Entitled "How Titanic Became My Lifeboat," the film will have its public premiere at 11 a.m. March 7 at the Phoenix Theatre's Forge Cinemas, 2530 Parkway. When I put it on I just felt like a bride. Trust me I had no plans to go this traditional, but you do only get one chance to go this fancy. One problem, it’s white, not even a hint of color. For quite some time I was worried I picked the wrong dress, in my head I hated it, but on I loved it. As beautiful as it was, It didn't feel like it fit my personality at all.

Fatima hasn't been out in daylight for over 20 years without wearing sun protection in the form of gloves and the helmet, which she affectionately calls her 'NASA mask', and mostly begins her days at nightfall. 'I rarely go out in daylight but if I have to', says Fatima, 'I must wear what I call a NASA mask as well as gloves to protect myself from sun rays. 'My day is different from other people's, I spend all day indoors and my day starts at night.' The condition means Fatima is easily sunburnt, even on a mild or cloudy day, and suffers with severe freckles, while having visible signs of dry skin and skin ageing.
