Guy Surprises Girlfriend By Proposing Under A Rare Comet That Is Only Visible Every 6,800 Years

The stars aligned for a New York couple on their engagement night, providing a picture-perfect moment that was out of this world. John Nicoterra proposed to his girlfriend, Erica Pendrak, Saturday night in Utica.

Nicoterra told Pendrak that he wanted to view the rare comet NEOWISE before it disappeared on Thursday. During the viewing, Nicoterra got on one knee and proposed, and a friend of the couple snapped a picture of the special moment, with NEOWISE on full display.

The photo, which has been shared thousands of times on social media, shows the comet between the happy couple. Nicoterra says it even caught the attention of NASA and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk. Scientists say catching a glimpse of NEOWISE is a once-in-a-lifetime event. Once it disappears, it won’t visible on Earth for another 6,800 years.

Beer Belly Photoshoots Their Pregnant Bellies | Stomach Fat Man

A beer belly may be the result of some fun times, good food, and tasty suds, but it may also be making it harder to move around or fit into your clothes. In addition, extra weight may be sapping your energy and putting extra strain on your joints and heart. Getting rid of a beer belly will take a combination of diet and exercise. It tends to take longer to lose weight than it did acquiring it, too.

Realistic Miniature Animals | World's Most Adorable Miniature Animals

Biologically Accurate Miniature Animals Created By Renowned Hungarian Artist Fanni Sandor

Fanni Sandor has been fascinated by miniatures since childhood, constructing her first sculpture from toothpicks, candle wax, paper, and glue at six years old. “In my country, there (are) no traditions of the 1:12 scale miniature making. In my twenties, I met the first professional miniaturist’s work through the internet. I was completely fascinated,” she tells Colossal.

Today, the Hungary-based biologist and artist fashions minuscule baby bluejays clamoring for food, a mouse peeking out from a bit of bread, and a waddling family of mallards. Inspired by her background in biology, the miniatures feature incredibly accurate details, and most fit easily on the tip of a finger.

Collectible Vintage And Antique Old Photos to Enhancer With Modern Enhancer Technology. When you think of old Photos or Historical Pictures, you naturally think in terms of black and white, as you can see from these Stunning vintage photos from the turn of the 20th century pictures have been around for a lot longer than you think.

Before 1907, if you wanted a color photograph then you (well, a professional colorist) basically had to color it in using different dyes and pigments, but two French brothers called Auguste, and Louis Lumière revolutionized all that with a game-changing process that they called the Autochrome Lumière. Using dyed grains of potato starch and light-sensitive emulsion, they were able to produce color in vintage photography without the need for additional colorization. Despite being difficult to manufacture and also somewhat expensive, the process was very popular among amateur photographers, and one of the world's first books of color photography was published using the Autochrome Lumière technique.

Dina Sanichar - The Story of Real-Life Mowgli Found Living In Jungle

Dina Sanichar - The Story of Real-Life Mowgli Found Living In Jungle

Northern Indian jungle of Uttar Pradesh in 1872, a group of hunters stopped in their tracks, bewildered by what they were seeing. A pack of wolves loped through the forest, followed by a ghostly form: a small child, ambling on all fours. The unlikely pack disappeared into a nearby den. The hunters planted a fire at the opening of the cave and smoked the pack out. As the group reappeared, the hunters killed the wolves and captured the boy. The case of Dina Sanichar —supposedly a six-year-old literally raised by wolves — was one of many feral children found over the years in India and beyond — wolf children, panther children, chicken children, dog children, and even gazelle children. Though their stories would be romanticized in myths in both the East and the West, the reality of their lives would prove tragic tales of neglect and extreme isolation. Their return to “civilized” life would pose uncomfortable questions about human development, our relationship to the wild, and what, exactly, makes us human.

Human Muscle Leggings - New Concept Underdressed Fashion Trend

Human Muscle Leggings New Concept Underdressed Fashion Trend

Bringing new meaning to the concept of being underdressed, a fashion firm has launched a range of leggings that emulate muscles with the skin torn off. The white trousers, designed by Australian label Black Milk Clothing, are printed with the anatomically correct layout of the bare human muscle, with sinews, ligaments and muscle fibres printed in blood red.

It's fair to say, the gory garments will not appeal to everyone - unless they're looking for a fancy dress outfit, of course. Those who enjoy pushing sartorial boundaries will no doubt enjoy the shock value the £50 leggings will inevitably provide.Potential customers might include performers like Lady Gaga, who infamously wore a dress made entirely of raw meat back in 2010, or singer Jessie J, who has made graphic printed leggings her staple.

People Took Posing With Statues To The Next Level

People Took Posing With Statues To The Next Level

We have all heard about people taking down statues as a part of protests and riots that have been happening recently. Meanwhile the statues around the world have apparently started to fight back…

Let’s face it–posing with statues is fun. You’ve got a captive audience, and you can pretty much do anything you want to them as long as you keep most of your clothes on. But these people have a twisted audacity and imagination that goes beyond holding up the Leaning Tower of Pisa, which your cousin Stephanie still thinks is hilarious. We get it Tiffany, you’ve been to Italy! Let it go already! Witness then what true genius looks like as these lunatics pose with these poor, unsuspecting works of art.

Slinkachu Makes His Mini Miniature People | Small Tiny People

Miniature People on the Streets of Cities Around the World

Slinkachu (b. 1979, Devon, UK) has been “abandoning” his miniature people on the streets of cities around the world since 2006. His work embodies elements of street art, sculpture, installation art and photography and has been exhibited in galleries and museums globally. His images have been collected in three best-selling art books; Little People in the City (Boxtree, 2009), Big Bad City (Lebowski, 2010) and Global Model Village (Boxtree, 2012) that have collectively sold over 300,000 copies worldwide.

started working with miniatures in 2006. My work involves remodelling and painting of miniature model train set characters, which I then place and leave on the street. It is both sculpture, street art installation and photography. The street-based side of my work plays with the notion of surprise and I aim to encourage city-dwellers to be more aware of their surroundings. The scenes I set up, more evident through the photography and the titles I give these scenes, aim to reflect the loneliness and melancholy of living in a big city; the universal sense of being overlooked, lost and overwhelmed. But along side this there is always some humour in my works. The modern world can be a preposterous place to live and I encourage empathy with the tiny people struggling to get by.

Anastasiia Gets Giant Cheekbones After Injecting Her Face with Fillers

Anastasiia Pokreshchuk, 31, from Kiev, Ukraine, has injected her face with masses of hyaluronic fillers to create extreme cheekbones

A woman is so addicted to cheek fillers that she injects her own face regularly says she knows that they look weird. The injectables industry is notably unregulated both in the UK and abroad. This means that people are often able to get their hands on products like filler with relative ease. However, the results of self-injecting, or being treated by a non-medical professional, aren’t always perfect. This Ukrainian model’s obsession with a slimmer face started her obsession with fillers – and now she has a unique look. Anastasiia Pokreshchuk, @_just_queen, 31, has spent a year – and almost £1,600 – getting her face injected with hyaluronic filler. Now, the model, who has a degree in psychology, shares snaps of her extreme body modification with her 153,000 Instagram followers.

Chicken Coops Idea For Your Backyard | Build Your Own Chicken Coop

Chicken Coops Idea For Your Backyard | Build Your Own Chicken Coop

A chicken coop or hen house is a small house where, typically, female chickens or other fowl are kept safe and secure. There are nest boxes found inside the hen houses for egg-laying, and perches on which the birds can sleep.

A chicken coop usually has an indoor area where the chickens can sleep and nest, as well as a fenced-in outdoor area where chickens will feed and spend the majority of the day (which is typically made from chicken wire). The coop should be cleaned after every two weeks, and the straw shifted every day, similar to a litter box. At night, the coop should be locked with all the birds inside of it, so that they are protected from predators. Both the inside and outdoor floors of a chicken coop are often strewn with a loose material such as straw or wood chips to deal with chicken droppings and to provide ventilation.

Girl Celebrates Her 8th Birthday By Having a Mermaid Photoshoot With Her Dad

Girl Celebrates Her 8th Birthday By Having a Mermaid Photoshoot With Her Dad

Girls want their daddy more than a new teddy bear or a fancy dollhouse. No thing — shiny or expensive — can make up for the attention, care, and everything else that comes with the love of a father. And this man knows it. On the 10th of July, he celebrated his daughter’s 8th birthday by having a mermaid photoshoot with her. In pink costumes. Splashing their fins in a picturesque river. I mean, if this isn’t parenting goals, I don’t know what is.

Desirae Deal, the photographer who captured the adorable duo, did an awesome job of portraying the wonderful time they had together. Their smiles and laidback body language really show how much fun the dad and daughter had throughout their little swim.

After Desirae shared the pics on her Facebook page, they received a whopping 21K reactions and 132K shares in just a couple of days. Clearly, nobody can resist a man to whom making his daughter happy is the most important thing in the world.

20 Secrets Things Women Want From the Men in Their Lives

20 Secrets Things Women Want From the Men in Their Lives

I’ve conducted a lot of research regarding women's friendships and the ways that people can most effectively maintain healthy connections over the long-term. In a recent study, however, we explored what women, from 18 to 75, need from the men in their lives. Not surprisingly, the qualities women seek in heterosexual romantic partners, male friends, and men in general, are not all that different from what they seek in a friend. This makes sense: Any good relationship is built on some basic, down-to-earth qualities.

Women don’t need partners who invest all their energy in trying to prove how strong, manly, masculine, macho, or heroic they are. They just want men who are willing to meet them where they are and treat them fairly and equitably — and are able to make sure that the romantic spark keeps burning.

There’s no reliable assessment that can predict whether someone is going to be a good match for you or not.

At his age, his hair poses a hindrance to his movement but rather than cut it, he asks for help from people around to help him tie it. He and many people in his home town of Molakalmuru, Chitradurga district consider him a human deity he hasn’t cut his hair in nearly a century for fear of losing his status as a human god. In a short clip shared by Newsflare, a frail-looking Doddapalliah can be seen squinting in pain as a couple of people work to untangle the entangled mess on top of his head for a photoshoot. It doesn’t look like his hair has been washed in a while either, which would explain the thick, hard-looking dreadlocks.

Teen Helps Little Brother Travel the World Through Chalk Art

Teen Helps Little Brother Travel the World Through Chalk Art

Being in the middle of what seems like year six of quarantine has left many kids grasping at straws when it comes to entertainment. Most camps, sports, and pools, have been closed indefinitely. With many parents still having to work from home, kids have had to become more self-sufficient at staying occupied for a lot of the day. Two kids in Illinois found themselves in this exact situation when their parents explained that due to their work schedules, the kids would have to keep themselves busy once they finished their classes for the day.

Unlike most teenagers who would have spent their spare time locked in their rooms making TikTok videos, Fourteen-year-old Macaire Everett took it upon herself to keep her 9-year-old brother Camden entertained while her parents worked in their provisional home office. Years ago Macaire dabbled in chalk art, and she decided that this was a better time than ever to design some new masterpieces. This time though, she had an extra spark of inspiration in the form of her eager little brother.

Funny Car Bumper Stickers

Funny Car Bumper Stickers

A bumper sticker is an adhesive label or sticker with a message, intended to be attached to the bumper of an Cars and to be read by the occupants of other vehicles.

The first bumper stickers were mainly designed to attract tourists. For example, in the 1930s and 1940s, famous destinations had car stickers made to recreate their official signs. The staff would simply walk around the parking lot and attach the promotional sticker to every car that came to visit.

However, people soon realized that this surface could be used for other purposes as well. bumper stickers to express political support were introduced in the 1952 presidential election between Dwight D. Eisenhower and Adlai Stevenson II. Now they can be commercial, religious, secular, in support of various sports teams and other organizations, and, of course, funny bumper stickers.

Ancient History Is So Fascinating | Civilizations Facts

Ancient History Is So Fascinating | Civilizations Facts

From China and Egypt to Rome and Greece, these ancient history facts are too raunchy, outrageous, and weird for any textbook you've ever read.

When people talk about ancient history, images of gladiators, pharaohs, and Alexander the Great most frequently come to mind, but those topics just barely scratch the surface—it turns out that history is much bigger than that! What we call “ancient history” covers a vast period from basically the beginning of time until the start of the Early Middle Ages sometime around the fifth century, and it’s full of strange and little-known facts from east to west.

Banwol Island: An Instagrammable Purple Island in South Korea

Purple Island in South Korea

Say hello to Banwol Island, also known as half-moon island! Situated in Sinan-gun, a beautiful county in South Jeolla province, this charming island is definitely a sight to behold. In August 2019, the South Jeolla provincial government and Sinan County planned to transform two neighbouring islands, Banwol Island and Parkji Island into purple islands complete with beautiful flowers and crops in matching colours! These islands are connected via a bridge, which makes a great opportunity for visitors to appreciate the scenic seascape too.

The county had planted 40,000 lavender around the island as well as white cedar, empress trees and other purple flowers for this transformation. Overall, the village on Banwol Island certainly lives up to its aesthetics. Take a walk to spot residential homes, bridges, streets, food trucks, sidewalks all painted in purple!

If you're interested to explore more parts of the island, you can rent a bicycle for KRW5,000 per person or spend a night in a local homestay for approximately KRW50,000 per night.

Today, although travel is banned all over the world due to the Corona epidemic, but as soon as the ban is lifted, the "purple island" will be ready for tourists from all over the world.
