Classic Painting | Most Famous Recreations Classic Paintings

I really love art, admiring beauty and talent. I want to actualize great painting from different cultural traditions to show people that it is much closer than it seems. My replicas encourage everyone to look at the paintings in detail. I think it’s important.

I started to imitate pieces of art for the #gettychallenge. At the beginning, I decided to do it daily for 30 days, but at the end of this period, I couldn’t stop. I'm still continuing and now I am on day 130. I have recreated Middle Eastern galleries, ancient, Indian, Red Cross posters, and others.

I do everything on my own: makeup, costumes, lighting with a table lamp, and shooting just with my phone’s camera, using very simple things which surround me at home.

Jolanda Stokkermans - Mom Creates Animal-Inspired Edible Food Art

Jolanda Stokkermans - Mom Creates Animal-Inspired Edible Food Art

Jolanda Stokkermans is a married mom living in Koersel, a small village in Belgium, with two children and two Jack Russells. One of her superpowers is meal prepping. Roughly a year ago, Jolanda started creating easy recipes and taking pictures of them, and got so carried away with it, she began presenting the food on a plate in the shape of famous actors, gorgeous flowers, and adorable animals.

Jolanda, aka De Meal Prepper, forms the edible pictures in a realistic style and even paints them, too. Doing both requires immense attention to detail. For example, while balancing different components on a single plate, the mother goes as far as using spices as watercolor pigments to add depth to the piece.

Jolanda Stokkermans can do magic with food. She makes works of art with food and then posts the result on Instagram. On the social networking site, she has great success as 'The Meal Prepper'. Her FoodArt even made it to Ukrainian television, which promptly sent a camera crew to Koersel. Jolanda hopes that she will also make a name for herself in the catering world in the future.

51 Most Popular Cat Breeds in the World | How Cat Breeds And Their Origins

The cat (Felis catus) is a domestic species of small carnivorous mammal. It is the only domesticated species in the family Felidae and is often referred to as the domestic cat to distinguish it from the wild members of the family. A cat can either be a house cat, a farm cat or a feral cat; the latter ranges freely and avoids human contact. Domestic cats are valued by humans for companionship and their ability to hunt rodents. About 51 cat breeds are recognized by various cat registries.

The cat is similar in anatomy to the other felid species: it has a strong flexible body, quick reflexes, sharp teeth and retractable claws adapted to killing small prey. Its night vision and sense of smell are well developed. Cat communication includes vocalizations like meowing, purring, trilling, hissing, growling and grunting as well as cat-specific body language. It is a solitary hunter but a social species. It can hear sounds too faint or too high in frequency for human ears, such as those made by mice and other small mammals. It is a predator that is most active at dawn and dusk. It secretes and perceives pheromones.

Why Do Married Couples Sleeping Separate Beds in Japan

Why Do Married Couples Sleep Separately in Japan | Does Separate Bedrooms in Marriage Affect the Relationship | Or its a Relationship Benefits of Sleeping in Separate Beds

Smaller houses and apartments don’t stop many Japanese couples from sleeping in different beds or even rooms. This is not some kind of an intimate issue or problem with the relationship, but something that they believe is good for them.

We found out why married couples in Japan choose to sleep separately, and we really like their reasons.

The first thing that makes Japanese couples decide to go to bed separately is different work schedules. Older People Share Priceless Advice For Younger Generations

Older People Share Priceless Advice For Younger Generations

Older generations have decades of experience to share with younger generations. Millennials can spend years slowly gaining the experience — and making the same mistakes — on their own, or they can draw on the wisdom of those who've already been down the same road. While they have unique insights of their own, it's up to today's young adults to listen to those life lessons. Here are 25 practical tips seniors would like to pass on to younger folks.

Old People Share Their Happiest Moments and Best Advice. How has life changed over the last century? We visited the homes of the people who lived through it all and asked them what we can learn.

When our grandparents were growing up, they were hit by their teachers and their parents. When they left school, normally at 16, they were mostly conscripted into "national service"—the UK's mandatory or voluntary government service. Only a small proportion of people had ever been abroad or would ever go to college. Many people got married in their early 20s and only ever slept with one partner for the whole of their life.

People Before And After Smile | Smiling People Around The World

Photos Of People Before And After They Were Asked To Smile | People Before And After Smile | Smiling People Around The World

The Dalai Lama said, "A simple smile. That’s the start of opening your heart and being compassionate to others." Smiles have the ability to change one's whole day, and not only to the one that's smiling, but also to those who see a smile. It's just a simple expression, and yet it may be the most powerful, as it's the most positive one.

Jay Weinstein tests this idea in his project "so I asked them to smile" with an extremely diverse group of people, and the answer behind each and every one of his pictures is that a smile changes everything—not only the mood, but even the whole picture. His pictures also show that a smile is unique to every individual and that it's sometimes hard to know how beautiful they look when they smile until they do.

Nicobar Pigeon - Most Beautiful Colorful Bird Species Pigeons

Nicobar Pigeon - Most Beautiful Colorful Bird Species Pigeons from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, India

The Nicobar Pigeon is one of the most beautiful of the many species of pigeons or doves and is the only living member of the genus Caloenus. It is found in the Islands of Nicobar, south west peninsular Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, Solomans and palau. Once known to be found in abundance in its range, their numbers in the wild are declining as they are frequently captured for pet trade and hunted for food.

Slightly larger than other pigeons at 40 cm, it has a dark slaty grey body with lustrous metallic blue-green and copper-bronze upperparts. It can easily be distinguished by its glistening mane-like neck hackles and sharply contrasting white tail coverts and tail. Females are smaller in size than males with shorter neck hackles and brown under parts. Youngs are born dull grey without the neck hackles and a bronzy green tail instead of white.

It is known to remain solitary as well as is found in flocks of 20-30. Though its flight is swift and powerful, and capable of sustaining long distances, it prefers to feed entirely on the ground, picking fleshy fruits and seeds off the forest floor. When in groups, they communicate with each other by uttering harsh guttural croaks. During the breeding season from January to March, females make nests by loosely putting together twigs high up on evergreen trees, where they can safely lay eggs.

Totoro Bus Stop - Japan Grandparents Create Life Size Totoro

Totoro Bus Stop - Japanese Grandparents Create Life-Size Totoro

Totoro is a hallmark character created by Studio Ghibli, Japan's beloved animation studio. The plump bodied, wide smiling magical creature’s most iconic image is that of him waiting for an unusual bus in the rain. The magic of that scene (featured in the 1988 film My Neighbor Totoro) has been a spark of nostalgia, imagination, and inspiration for a variety of creatives. Such is the case for a pair of grandparents in Takaharu, Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan. The couple—who is in their 70s—decided to recreate the magic of the film by designing a Totoro replica for their grandchildren.

The project was handmade and demonstrated the couple’s exceptional skill in carpentry and their impeccable attention to detail. By using some traditional plastering techniques, the barrel-like frame for the future statue was constructed first. This was followed by layers of concrete and a lengthy process of sculpting. Bricks were then added to help create the signature plumpness of the magical gray beast’s frame. Even more concrete was layered on and with careful sculpting, the memorable, bold eyes and whiskers started to emerge. The couple finished up the project by adding a brick and gravel path around the structure and placed the iconic bus stop sign.

Black Diamond Apples Rare Fruits | Apple Sweeter Than Honey

Black Diamond Apples Rare Fruits breed | family of Hua Nia Apple Sweeter Than Honey in the Tibetan region of Nyingchi

The Black Diamond Apple is a rare breed from the family of Hua Nia apples that is cultivated in the Tibetan region of Nyingchi. Despite what the name suggests, the apple rather is a purple hue, with white pulp on the inside. Its unique Dark color is due to the region's high altitude. The temperature fluctuates wildly between day and night, with the apples being exposed to a lot of ultraviolet light, which is conducive to the dark skin. Belonging to the high-end segment of the market, the average Black Diamond Apple costs about 50 yuan. Many farmers are reluctant to grow the fruit, since its maturity process can take up to eight years.

Apples are generally red, green, yellow or a combination of the three, but if the right geographical conditions are met, they can apparently grow dark purple, almost black, as well. These rare apples are called Black Diamond and they are currently only grown in the mountains of Tibet.

Paper Quilling - Use Paper Quilling Technique Into Art Pieces

Paper Quilling - artist from the UK Use Paper Quilling Technique has spent the last 5 years to Create this Art Master Pieces

45-year-old artist from the UK who has spent the last 5 years making my art Pieces from thousands of tiny strips of paper.

he have a keen interest in the natural world and the technique of on-edge quilling lends itself beautifully to hair, fur, and feathers, so I created an a-to-z of animals from the air, land, and sea to showcase the different textures that can be created. I try to make my paper animal pictures look as real as possible with only the on-edge technique.

Quilling or paper filigree is an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs. The paper is rolled, looped, curled, twisted and otherwise manipulated to create shapes which also make up designs to decorate greetings cards, pictures, boxes, eggs, and to make models, jewelry, mobiles etc.
