Spookyaki season is finally here!! Every year, we at Kaizen Shabu celebrate by creating art using the fresh ingredients we have at the restaurant. Literally playing with our food! Check out some of our selected favorites below.

My family owns a restaurant and I wanted to do something fun and unique with our Instagram posts. As a lover of Halloween, pop culture, puns, and tasty things, "SPOOKYAKI" was born! I only use what we have at the restaurant and usually eat it afterward.

My process involves photography, balance, and a little bit of Photoshop to make it all come together. Yes, this is done in the soup broth—no, it's not all floating. Although... that sounds like a fun challenge for the future.
